What small dfw things will you do this week 09/11/20?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation.  These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important 😀

  • Morning folks

@alt80 - good to hear things are progressing and you sound in a much better place in yourself which is great to hear

Phew another Monday. Going to try and keep myself to some sort of routine today. It was made easier by the fact that work have asked us to dial into the Monday call (only 20 mins or so) just so we can keep up to date with what's going on. I've already put my gym kit on as I'm going to do today's workout straight after the call. OH is apparently going to join me. Obviously it's going to be made easier by my fab new Wonder Woman training shoes. They are very beautiful (20% off code and bought with birthday money - bit early as birthday not til next month, but they are limited edition and selling like hotcakes).

    Other things today:
:star: B/L/D from stores. OH and I are determined to get a grip on our food spending
    :star: Keep knitting sock
:star: OH teaching from home this evening
:star: Sort fridge out as it's a bit of a mess
:star: Heating off. Feels warm today. Popped it on briefly last night but only upped by a degree. Def works better with this house to take the edge off as opposed to let it get cold, then try to heat it. Find that thermostat set to 18/18.5 is enough.

    Have a good one all

  • Thanks @carrielovesfanta
    Eating from stores today too.
Have four items to post, theee ebay sales and one Vinted. One item to be collected too. That totals about £85 to be paid off the loan 🤗 l haven't made an overpayment for a week or so, was getting impatient!

I managed to get some more items in ebay yesterday, a few bids already so it was worth it. I am working from home all week (until after Christmas l expect). Will get on with the rabbit patterned pjs later. Also need to get on with the trunk that's been sitting in the dining room for a week. The cat thinks we've put it there for him to get a better view of the garden...!

Not much to report apart from that. Very grey here. Have a good day all x
