What small dfw things will you do this week 09/11/20?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important 😀

Morning folks
@alt80 - good to hear things are progressing and you sound in a much better place in yourself which is great to hear
Phew another Monday. Going to try and keep myself to some sort of routine today. It was made easier by the fact that work have asked us to dial into the Monday call (only 20 mins or so) just so we can keep up to date with what's going on. I've already put my gym kit on as I'm going to do today's workout straight after the call. OH is apparently going to join me. Obviously it's going to be made easier by my fab new Wonder Woman training shoes. They are very beautiful (20% off code and bought with birthday money - bit early as birthday not til next month, but they are limited edition and selling like hotcakes).
Other things today:B/L/D from stores. OH and I are determined to get a grip on our food spending
Keep knitting sock
OH teaching from home this evening
Sort fridge out as it's a bit of a mess
Heating off. Feels warm today. Popped it on briefly last night but only upped by a degree. Def works better with this house to take the edge off as opposed to let it get cold, then try to heat it. Find that thermostat set to 18/18.5 is enough.
Have a good one all

Thanks @carrielovesfanta
Eating from stores today too.
Have four items to post, theee ebay sales and one Vinted. One item to be collected too. That totals about £85 to be paid off the loan 🤗 l haven't made an overpayment for a week or so, was getting impatient!
I managed to get some more items in ebay yesterday, a few bids already so it was worth it. I am working from home all week (until after Christmas l expect). Will get on with the rabbit patterned pjs later. Also need to get on with the trunk that's been sitting in the dining room for a week. The cat thinks we've put it there for him to get a better view of the garden...!
Not much to report apart from that. Very grey here. Have a good day all x4 -
Morning allThanks for starting us off CLFHeating off here too, though I did put it on briefly last night (it felt too warm to light the stove).I almost replied to @alt80 on last week's thread, then realised it is a new week and their post was yesterday. Anyway, I agree, they sound in a much better, more positive place, and long may it continue. And if you have kids btw, you never really run out of things to sell, as they are continually growing out of clothes and other stuff, all of which find a ready market (my younger DD routinely bundles up outgrown clothes, toys etc and sells them to put the money towards things that her two need).Dog walk done, breakfast eaten, and plans for the day are as follows:Make some tomato soup to use up a carton of passata that has recently passed its BBE dateFinish the inventory task I started yesterday.Meal plan for the week - I have been rubbish at this recently!Ring the garage and arrange for the car to be looked at. It is a bit reluctant to start. I think it might need a new battery, but am not going to just buy one in case it is something else and the battery is just fine!Pack an ebay parcel and list some more things if the light is good enough later to take photos (I have a rubbish old phone and a dark old house
)
Pick myself up off the floor lol, because OH has just announced that he is going to clean the cooker5 -

Hello everybody almost done with day 3 of 6 days of self isolation due to silly travels(to mink land), have been chasing students all day online - it's a it like chasing shadows, in particular when the cover person is then sent home to self isolate in the middle of my lesson. It's a weird time, but ds is cooking chicken, I'm about to do my first Jo Wicks, might have to book the living room though! As the young one is doing zoom training with sports group - sweating in my living room. As we all know ladies dont sweat!
About to go and prepare crumble w apples I got from nice neighbour :-)

Another rubbish nights sleep last night. Almost guaranteed bad one tonight too with FA val tomorrow on development block. I’m a Valuer by profession so always slightly strange when I’m stood the other side ha. Will maybe know by end of week or beginning of next. Always worse waiting when you’re a bit desperate for the cash tbh.
Managed to spend some time with son and have a little walk with family tonight. Hoping by weekend I’ll be able to go for proper walk with them.Christmas advent stuff here too. Actually really looking forward to cheap advent lol will give wife and I bit of time together when son’s gone to bed.9/11/20:
1. X7 things up for sale. 1/7
2. X3 exercise ( just upper body x2 and something else x1 with foot issue wife will come up with something no doubt ha) 0 lol.
3. Update expenses/ cards spreadsheets. Not today.
4. Finish work 6.00pm and switch email off. Yes hardly been able to concentrate tbh.
5. In bed for midnight. Who knows?5
