Why not travel from Scotland to Gibraltar without going to Heathrow. Why complicate matters?
Why do you need to 'get round' the regulations?
@Butts has posted a number of posts saying he only books with BA Holidays due to their flexibility and refund speeds when things go wrong.  It doesn't look like there's any direct winter flights between Scotland and Gibraltar.
BA have stopped flights to Gibraltar for the length of English Lockdown.
Indeed I have just got up (working nights) to find that out on Flyertalk.
The Gibraltar soiree bites the dust joining a host of others in the "cancelled file" this Autumn/Winter.

If you travel by Air you do not actually have to set foot in England outside of the restricted area air side at Heathrow Airport.
The key question is does the English Ban apply to Scottish Residents en-route to a non UK destination who transit there ?

Given that the restricted air side is in England, the laws apply. Just because there are some special rules for that area, allowing for example, people with no right of entry into the UK to transit, doesn't mean that the law doesn't apply.

But surely "The Law" applies in this case to English Residents being denied the right to travel abroad with certain notable exceptions. No such caveat is currently in place for Scottish Residents. If you look on the FCO Site it clearly delineates between "English Restrictions" and the rest of the UK.

In a sense I would be like a foreigner for the purposes of the English Travel Restrictions and not subject to them. This is a devolved matter and Scotland has not yet followed the English lead in banning foreign jaunts. There is no legal restriction on entering England from Scotland either.

Gibraltar remains on the FCO list of exempted Countries with regard to "all but essential travel" and is not subject to any quarantine when returning to England or Scotland.

It's not straight forward.  The rules apply in England.  That means a Scottish student with a term time address in Manchester isn't exempt from the rules and someone from Scotland can't visit their relatives in England because the household mixing rules don't apply to them, the rules apply to Scottish people in England as well.

However, the travel section is a bit different as it does mention the international travel ban applying specifically to people living in England.

The sensible thing to do would be to speak to your friends at British Airways, if you want to know.
So in essence Silvercar jumped the gun and was incorrect in his assertion that my now defunct travel proposal would have broken any Laws pertaining to England or Scotland ?
