It's not that long ago, but it is in the first post of this thread:

Suggested template defence to adapt for all parking charge cases where they add false admin costs

Every question you have, you first port of call is the newbies thread

If BW haven't responded saying the intend to carry on, sending a DQ in will just see it rejected.  Check the mcol status. If it doesn't say DQ sent, don't do a DQ.

I was thinking about acting after receiving a DQ from CCBC too.

So far BWL has spent £25 court fee to start the legal process as a threat and hopes me to pay £250. But I submitted a defence. If BWL thinks the chance of winning the case is very low, it may not want to carry on. If BWL continues and loses,  it needs to pay legal representative's cost, witness cost etc. Moreover, BWL sent me a Notice of Pending County Court Judgment two weeks after receiving my defence. This suggests BWL did not keep track of my response and defence. So I think it's likely BWL does not want to continue.  These are just speculations and I'll wait for a few more weeks and see.

The latest MCOL status I get is defence was received two weeks ago.

BWLegal don't pay anything, nor do they decide whether to continue.  They are not the claimant.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

As above , b w legal are sub contractors for the actual claimant , who they take instructions from

I see. Thanks. The parking company Britannia Parking will decide whether to proceed or not.
  • I submitted DQ to ccbcaq@justice.gov.uk, the claimant and claimant's solicitor two weeks ago. There is an auto-reply email from ccbcaq. However, the last entry on MCOL is that DQ was sent to me. Is it normal there is no update about DQ on MCOL? I am not sure if the court has received the DQ.

There is no allocated court at the moment , just a government office in Northampton

Yes it can take a while for the CCBC to update MCOL , keep the auto receipt safe and maybe check again next week , phoning if necessary ( covid19 and Xmas and lockdowns are causing more delays than a year ago )
