Pylon in the garden

The nuns/kittens are referenced many times on this board and I am confused as to why.
I did an internet search to understand the term, and the search results indicate that the phrase is used informally to refer to what could be described as "working ladies of the night". There is nothing to indicate that the OP is running a premises of ill-repute and we should not suggest the same.0 -
If the pole was at the end of the garden behind a shed and op didn't realise it was in his garden until the shed came down then if the previous owners didn't erect the shed there is a good chance that they were also of the same mindset, hence the TA6 wasn't wrong.
Let's face it, it took the OP 2 years to discover the fact and the only reason that happened is when the shed was removed, so there is nothing obvious to indicate that the previous owners were aware of the fact unless
a. They were resident when the pole was erected, or
b. They erected the shed, it didn't pre-date them.

Can't see how OP didn't look to see where the pylon / pole was when viewing the garden.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
Not sure how many people are being ironic, or whether they really don't know the nuns/kittens reference .......
It comes from the absurdity of the situation ... nuns carrying baskets of kittens being involved in incidents is absurd ...... some of the stories we see here are equally absurd, hence the reference.0 -

What happened to the original shed? It seemed to hide the pylon before, why not put it back and 'hey presto' problem solved0
