When it comes to WS & evidence stage (later) include the Watchdog article where Excel insisted they do manual checks to make sure small keying errors are not caused a PCN.  Invite the Judge to find that Excrl moved to the IPC and away from the BPA to get an easier ride in that race to the bottom.
Hey do you know where i can find this. I have found a watchdog video from 2010 about Excel Parking signs being very small but nothing about manual checks and keying errors.
It was from around 2013/14 but I can't find it now.  I found this though:

Read the whole thread but my comment there gives some useful links.

Your defence looks good but REMOVE this, don't take the blame for their confusing trap of a system!
The driver forgot to enter the new registration number and instead paid for parking the old vehicle DV15DHD.

I don't have printer at home and office is shut down. Looks like finding a printer has proven to be a challenge in the lockdown, as most Internet cafe are closed too. hopefully will be able to get it sorted this week with the help of a friend.  Should i send evidence along with the defence, a screenshot of my bank statement with the transaction?

No evidence gets sent with a Defence.
Nothing gets sent with a Defence.
Evidence comes later - with your Witness Statement.

You're not the first person to say this. Where does the idea that evidence get filed with a Defence come from? Is it mentioned in the NEWBIES thread somewhere?

You don't actually need a printer (courts and CCBC are accepting a digital signature) therefore your defence can be compiled in Word (other processors are available) and either sent by email as a Word document or converted to .pdf.  As @KeithP writes, no photos or evidence goes with defence.  When it comes to Witness Statement do the same as the defence but definitely convert to .pdf and send by e-mail.  Sending it to the claimant might be a problem if they don't accept service by e-mail but by the time that is required you could have a) bought a printer, b) the office will be open or c) shops/libraries will be open and offer printing facilities.

Sent the defence today, thank you all for you help so far!.
The defence registered on the MCOL website today too and shows status as DQ sent to me today. Don't know what that is but all i received was an automated email about covid measures, longer times to respond.

You don't know what the next simple form is, that the TEMPLATE DEFENCE thread tells you about, as well as the NEWBIES?
You need to revisit both threads, they are written about ALL stages.
