So there's been some further development on my case and it's all good news.
I got contacted by DCB Legal a few weeks ago, informing me that they and/or Highview Parking had finally decided to throw in the towel and that they'd also advised the court as such. The case therefore is now completely dead!!
Good news, they realised a court spanking was ahead for them.

What is so crazy is that these people throw money at dodgy cases which cost more than the ticket amount they are chasing

It is clear that Intelligence is the missing factor

  • Hello, this thread is great ... thank you all for your contributions.  I got this today in the post - it's for a fine allegedly issued on 23/12/2016.  The vehicle was a pool car for a company that is now defunct, but I was the registered keeper.    I'd be very grateful for a copy of the template letters I've seen referenced, especially by @BrownTrout and any other advice that anyone would feel relevant.  Thanks in advance.

@D_P_Dance The claim that DCB Legal is making is for a fine.  sorry I wasn't clear - it is exactly as per the first message in this thread which is why I thought it relevant.  In the first few messages there was mention of a letter template by @BrownTrout that I was hoping to commandeer

The claim is not for a 'fine'.

You can use stuff posted by @BrownTrout (or any of us on any Highview thread) about the fact that Highview don't use the POFA.  They can't hold the keeper of a pool car liable without evidence that keeper was driving all that time ago.  Evidence they don't have, unless you appealed way back then and admitted driving.

This is a cinch to see off. No POFA, no liability.

Read plenty of Highview claim threads but don't post piggybacking in them about your own case, as that doesn't help you.

You need to start your own new thread if you have other questions as we can't handle two cases on one thread and it will actually cause YOU problems, not us so much, because people will read the earlier posts thinking that's you.

It is not a fine, it is an invoice from from a private company seeking damages for an alleged breach of contract   It is exactly as a plumber would send you for work done.  Please read the newbies as asked. and start your own thread
