If you want help with an issue of your own, rather than just commenting on a thread, you need to start your own thread so that regular contributors do not get confused which poster they are answering.Verydelayedresponse said:@BrownTrout hoping to also use a copy of your response if you're willing to provide it - just had letters through from DCB with a notice of debt recovery regarding unpaid parking charges from May 2014! They only have 6 years to pursue a case in court so a FRO and do one letter should suffice , given the deadline passed over 6 months ago2

How daft of DCBL not to have noticed that ? Do they know about this or is a fake try on ? The latter I think2 -
Thanks for your help, much appreciated. One (hopefully) last question, should I respond or just ignore?0

You asked which legislation to quote, we told you. You were advised to send them a FRO ('right' and 'off' being the last two initials) letter. Not sure why you're asking us now whether you should ignore?Joeyspeedbump said:Thanks for your help, much appreciated. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

use it as it is. there are also two email addresses for DCB LEGAL you should use both when you respond.
So, in response to the letter that was kindly shared by @BrownTrout, I've now received a response from DCB Legal as follows:Dear xxxx,We write further to your correspondence received xxth November 2020.Our Client issued the Parking Charge Notice to you as the vehicle remained on private property in breach of the prominently displayed terms and conditions. Our Client issued the Parking Charge Notice to you correctly and the time to appeal this Parking Charge has now lapsed. We also note that you are disputing liability as you have stated you were not the driver at the time that the Parking Charge Notice was issued to you. Please note, In order to identify the Registered Keeper of the vehicle, our client submitted a request for details to the DVLA. Your details were provided and thereafter notices were sent to you by our Client at your serviceable address. Those notices asked you to either make payment or, if you were not driving, nominate a driver by providing their name and full address. You did neither and as such you are now pursued on the basis that you were driving. On the balance of probabilities, if you were not the driver, you would have nominated. We now invite you to nominate a driver, you would need to provide their full name and a serviceable address. If no nomination is received we will continue to pursue based on the above statement. We have been instructed on behalf of our Client to collect the full balance of £165.00 as per the Letter of Claim. You now have 30 days from the date of this email to make payment or to nominate a named driver. You are more than welcome to seek you own debt advice during the stipulated timeframe.Payment can be made via bank transfer to our designated client account:-Account Name: DCB Legal Ltd Client AccountSort Code: 20-24-09Account Number: 6xxxxxxYou must quote the correct case reference 1xxxxx.4xxxD when making payment. If you do not, we may be unable to correctly allocate the payment. If further action is taken by us as a result of an incorrect reference being quoted, you will be liable for any further fees or costs incurred.Alternatively, you can contact DCB Legal Ltd on 0203 434 0424 to make payment over the telephone.Failure to make payment or to nominate a driver within the stipulated timeframe may result in a claim being issued against you without further notice, as per the Letter of Claim.Kind Regards,
My question therefore is: "What now?"
