Bed stripped this morning before work. Bedding washed, dried out on the line (mse style), and I have just done HHI. Airing cupboard cleared of clean washing back to its rightful owners. Drove back and forth to school for DD - car parks were empty but bizarrely the roads were busy. Amazed at the number of van drivers playing How Many People Can I Fit in the Front Seat of my Van game.I have just lit a candle in the fireplace and am taking 15 minutes while DH is still on a call and DD is up in her room. Then it is dinner, and not a lot else planned for the evening.
Argh - just remembered that I have sourdough bread to set off, better get to it.8 -
Good evening!
Ticking along here. Paid stuff today. Washing is up-to-date (well, it was until DH & DS went running!), dinner is on. I am shattered. The baby screams and it is sooooo stressful! When dad picked him up he commented on how difficult the last few weeks were (when we were isolating). He said 'he just cries all the time!'At least I only have him for 6 1/2 hours, and I can sleep at night! He doesn't cry much really - but when he does he literally makes my ears ring!! He is so angry!!
Yesterday I munched a few frogs (insert smug emoji!) I have renegotiated my TV/broadband package - and made a saving of about £40 a month! I have cut some channels - hopefully they won't be missed!I started looking for a new phone for DH - then stopped and told him to look for his own!! (it's like the car situation all over again! He is still in his old banger
)
I am a bit bemused that my dog is a bit stressed by the fireworks tonight. He has never been bothered in the 11 years we have had him! (this is his 12th bonfire night)
Hugs to those that need them. I hope lockdown 2.0 is kind to you! We are now a family of 3 for the next month as DD2 has moved in with her BF for lockdown.8 -
GI.. thats funny because my mother has a dog who is almost 12 and she is suddenly terrified this year too.. as is my mog Polly .. My mother has lost 4 dogs in the last year so she thought maybe 'safety in numbers' previously.. I'm thinking they are much louder this year than they have been previously and wondering if they are hurting their fluffy ears.
I've had a horrendous day.. I am glaring at an army of black dogs but I have bones to throw at them ..
Nothing physical achieved today but I have raged at lots of people, yelled at OH and pretty much everyone in the house.
I've got a headache.. and my leg hurts..
Christmas is looking .. maybe likely.. I have a crib for the 2 youngest so I need to knit some little blankets.. that I can doI might whizz up some dolly clothes.. I have added some cheap 'reborn' type dolls to their amazon wishlists.. OH's family are wanting ideas.. I don't know why I don't just do their shopping as well as my own and my mothers..
I am mentally exhausted today... Tomorrow is, thankfully, a new day!

well today did not go to plan but I have cleaned the bunny hutch and washed my car after the builders went.
I also rescued precious plants before the digger dug up the border. The wall is actually coming over on my side a bit because of a drain cover. But this means that new, diggable topsoil will replace the clay which bakes hard in summer and is impossible to dig. Hopefully the rescued plants will be ok - the cyclamen has a corm the size of a sideplate!

Off to bed in a few minutes - I fell asleep on the sofa and only woke up because my phone started pinging at 10 o'clock when my friend F sent me lots of lovely pictures of her children (my two little godchildren)
This morning I got up late, tidied round everywhere and did WMx1 which I then hang out to dry, but there was no wind, so DH's T shirts were still damp 4 hours later. My legs were working OK, so I took Rosie for a nice long walk through the woods after lunch and met absolutely nobody for more than half the time we were out; however, my shoulder and back were really painful and I was grateful to have an appointment with the physio this afternoon. She reckoned I had sprained my intercostal muscles on the left whilst trying to compensate for the lack of mobility on the right - doh! - so she dealt with me as only physios know how!!! It worked
This evening we've certainly had more fireworks around here than in past years, and the local council also put on a good high-level display at various locations around the borough, for us residents to watch from our doorsteps (even made it to the regional TV news). Pity they couldn't have moved our local launch pad a bit to the left, as the big cedar tree along the road blocked out most of the big starbursts, but from up here on the ridge we also get a good view across the valley so I could see plenty of others. Rosie has put her nose in the corner and stayed in hiding all evening, but she is OK now.
I have a huge list of things that I didn't do today and must be done "tomorrow" - except that the clock has moved on and it's already Friday - so I will get off to bed now and hope to regain my get-up-early-and-go.
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks to all in need xx

Morning
Sorry, Round, I took a night off, and left you in charge ☹️.
Wm on. Last night’s hm chicken katsu tasted fab, but the smell is lingering this morning despite all efforts and not so appetising now!Off to work today - everyone is trying to take the holidays that didn’t happen earlier in the year, so it is a bit like one of those clocks where people pop in and out. Then I will continue my (so far very successful) procrastination over renewing my car insurance. My most loathed job of the year.
Have a lovely day all, especially those who have a day off - I think that I am looking at you, Round 😉6 -
Sorry Round not in the WAC but up and going nice and early this morning to keep you company. I'm not working but have loads to do, OH up and off to work so I was up with him and as it's SO cold here I wasn't tempted to sit down waste time on the internet.
Bed made, clothes picked up
Bins out and they are pretty full so stuff must be leaving the house
Windows been open for 30 minutes and closed again
Pellet stoves reloaded and on
Kitchen tidied
Work bag unpacked and bits put away
List made of admin stuff that has to be done over the next few days, some more urgent than others
Trying hard to have a positive November, seeing having more time at home as an opportunity to sort more stuff in the house, and become more efficient in genenral everyday life so my first challenge is to meal plan. Hopefully this will make sure I don't but on weight and will help us spend less on food. No shops open so hoping to save some money on non essential spending.
Off to make some porridge, another coffee and bring more pellets in before I sit down to update the spending spreadsheet.
See you later

Morning xx
Thank you for the company Mademoiselle xx And you are right, Fayolle, day off for mexx And breathe...
I've told my manager that for me to remain at work I need to be moved out of that office PDQ. Someone from another office was off sick yesterday and I jumped at the chance to work from their desk. You'd think the people who don't want me in 'their' room would be pleased - nope! I was given the evil eye all day - I am genuinely bewildered. But quite happy working in the other room where I wasn't trying to interpret / second guess what was happening / going to happen next. I cannot 'do' office politics. Turn up, do your job, get on with everyone to the best of your ability, come home. It's not ... rocket science (expletive not included so as not to damage your tender ears lol)
Anyhoo - that's yesterday. And today (and the next 3 days) I'm at home. And glad tidings: GF has a start date for her job!!! Monday. Yep, this Monday. 9th November. I'm taking her in to pick up her uniform this morning. DS will be able to take her to work and she is looking at bus timetables for coming home. She doesn't know but this morning we am going via my work place to 'test' the road from my office to the nursery where she works - on the map it is pretty straightforward - and if it's as simple as it looks I'll pick her up after work and bring her home. I don't like the idea of her walking through town to the bus station in the dark. Hopefully they'll soon be successful in renting a house, so it won't be for long....
Flying? Oh my word. I hang my head in shame. I've been a flylady (on and off, but on the wagon for many years now) for 10 years and I still live in a bear pit. I have to acknowledge that we do gave more floor than we used to - hmmm looking round 'stuff; is spreading again. And I can;t see my kitchen - again. If only flying would just stay DONE!!!
Ok - I'm washed , dressed, breakfasted; bed is made, laundry shuffle done and WM x1 has swished and been artfully draped on to the airer. This WM x 1 is 1 of several loads left over from last weekend - and the laundry hamper has magically refilled itself since Sunday. And I washed two loads during the week. I might declare that everyone has to stay in their PJs all weekend whilst I catch up. They might have to anyway - how many clothes do they have? lol
Oh movement upstairs - first job = take GF to pick up uniform.
Then I will fly and I'm going to take before and after photos to shame myself into doing it / prove I'm not lying.
Have a lovely day. Stay safe.
Rxx
