Upstairs and the actual stairs blitzed.
Towels washed and blown dry outside.
Trip to small town for final cs booked slot, so a box and 2 bags of books have left the house. While I was in town, I sorted out lenses for DD and also bought some wool from the independent haberdashers before they have to close again. I have kidded myself that I am going to knit a top for DSis for Christmas. Her birthday is in January, so that gives me a Plan B.
Mr M delivery slot booked for next week.
Dinner cooked, kitchen tidied up, WULTD x many.
I am now running on empty after a restless night. Nightmares when I slept, over imagining everything when I was awake. I think the WAC might be making a lockdown comeback. Or maybe that is just me.9 -
Hi all
I am still having weird dreams on a night. By 11.30am I was starting to feel groggy and headachey so I decided to take a break and go out on my bike for an hour. It was lovely and sunny and I felt so much better. Still managed to do 7 hours paid stuff and do some yoga. A good day.
Have hoovered through and changed our sheets. DH was home early so he made tea. I am in the office tomorrow so will need to go and get organised in a minute. Switching laptop off now, night all x6 -

Evening all.
I managed to empty 3 pots of geraniums and plant up 5 pots of bulbs and pansies - still got lots of bulbs lined up, waiting their turn!
I also took Rosie for her walk and then drove over to the vet's to pick up her worming tablets. I even managed to get this quarter's dose down her in one, thanks to some crispy chicken skinShe didn't really deserve it, having rolled in something smelly in the woods.
I did a quick hoover round downstairs.
I sorted out some bits for the local Christmas toy appeal.
And I cooked a nice meal from the latest SW book, Goan cod in a spicy peppers sauce. DH says he could eat it every week.I doubt that he'll get it that often - just once more in the foreseeable future, as I was lucky enough to find 2x yellow stickered cod (very MSE!), but otherwise it's a bit beyond my usual budget. Cheaper fish would work too, but the cod was very tasty.
This evening I have dealt with some bank business and watched GBBO without falling asleep, but I'm tired now.
Please let me know if you want to join in the Flylady Secret Santa - deadline is the 11th of this month. I'll put it on the FB group too.

Not a very flying day but not too idle.
Went to aqua aerobics which overshot time as we didn't want to get out as it is the last one for a while.
Finished report, just need final check tomorrow.
Rang friend on her birthday, she's having a very rough time with chemo at the moment.
Music college kindly offered to loan me an electric drum kit for lockdown, so Mr N and I went to pick them up.
Filled bird feeders.
Sorted out this week's task lists, post etc.
Uni has confirmed that those who can't work from home can go in, so I confirmed I would continue as usual, as I am happy with the safety arrangements. Turns out the 'incident' in the early hours of Sunday morning involved groups of students throwing fireworks on campus, presumably a rather wild Halloween party. 1 injury, 1 arrest. As a friend said to me, I thought you had to be intelligent to go to uni!
Hoovered spare room and landing.
Collected C&C from Mr T. Took neighbours' goods round and warned them about the drums....
Thank you for all your advice about DB staying with us. Mr N said he is happy for DB to stay, so I'm pleased. Of course ***s law decreed that there wasn't enough work for him here this week, so he's gone to visit Mum.
Moved a lot of patio plants into the conservatory as the forecast was for widespread frost. Felt pretty cold today in between the sun, the wind has definitely changed direction.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8 -
Still got pack ups to do today but everything that is getting done has been done.
DW been run, Washing not been brought in but I will have to get OH to do that before it rains.
Oh was supposed to be furloughed until December is now going to be in work after school tomorrow.. or maybe Thursday.. but only to do stock counts but that's fine.. so long as I can get through tomorrows list of fun times.. OH to the gym and we need to go to tesco and I need to ring drs first thing and I need to chase Dots ASD assessment.. I've not heard anything from either consultant so I need to check up.. I may need a list of referred services so I can keep up.
I just threatened to ram fireworks up the nethers of the cretins at the pub across the road.. Who in the right mind lets of huuuuuge fireworks which explode at roof level in the middle of a residential street? Reported to the police and environmental health..
I now have to review the councils 'new' webpage for the SEN/childrens support page.. they are hysterical.
Dot has been happier at school having lunch in the hall again and has been wearing her ear defenders for lunch time and also in the playground her teacher said she just gets them when she feels she needs to. It seems to make her happier having control over the volume of the room.. one happy girl.
Best make some pack ups.. the boxes were in the car and OH only just got them out.

just this second sent again anyway just to be sure.. thank you xxx
Iona... yes please to santa... I do want a boiling water tap though so give my name to the queen! lol... unicorns and sparkles and for me.. but I do have a nickel and latex allergy..
Narco .. as someone who has lived in an area with a high number of students.. being intelligent is the last thing required to go to uni.. most of them are absolute morons with zero life experience and utterly clueless. They just can not function like humans.

Good morning
It’s a very frosty one, car scraping time is here.
Iona - yes please. I would also like a boiling water tap like Piggers, if that is a wish list item 😉 Although I actually need a functioning kitchen first...on second thoughts, can I put the whole kitchen in the list? Don’t want to be greedy, mind.
Natty - I think you have my details already on your listy.
Carb heavy pack up done (might have to rethink that), DD is up and thumping about, best get ready.
Have a lovely day all x8 -
Morning all,
Quick one from me to say yes please Iona xx
