    Sadly not for me.
I drove home certain I was going to do 6 days steaight of no spending
My son has come home and he's got a school award. His school is very big on discipline and progress (church of england school) so he got it for reading 6 days a week at home since we went back in september and for doing all his homework.
Extra nice for his because he was an absolute nightmare until we got his ADHD diagnosis and medication! TBH his school have worked damned hard with him.
Anyway... its cost me take away pizza, side and dips...
Not that bothered he's on from nightmare student and bottom of the class from reception till year 2.
Now in year 5, model student and hitting all his yearly targets and exceeding in others.
Sorry for long post... it's just nice to see him recognised for trying.
Anyway best get him to do his reading before the meds wear off.
Couldsavemore, that is good news, happy for your son and you x :)

Most DIY problems can be solved by a combination of spanner, pliers, screwdriver, Allan key and a blade. (Hold it, twist it, cut it!) Very occasionally industrial language, a hammer and an adhesive may need to be added to the mix. (Curse it, hit it, patch it!)

Indeed it is cathybird. I've been thinking of other ways to save pennies.  Next pay day I am going to save the pennies that I would of spent on the free food that I'm allowed to have from work. Might not always be much anything to help with saving would be a bonus!!

I have been keeping my recipes too this month too!!

I have 2 credit cards that need paying off which I'm slowly getting down. Then I need a emergency fund account plus there is so much I would like to get done in my house too.

    Have a good day everyone

I Tilly Tidy every Wed and Sun, which is an MSE thing if you've not come across it - it involves rounding down your current account to the nearest £10 (or £25, or whatever) and moving the excess into a savings account. It's really surprising how it builds up over time, even though it never seems like you're saving much as you go. Good luck with your savings efforts, every little helps :)
