Another £80.96 in Asda today taking me to £198.97/£450. I know we will need more bread at the weekend because my kids pretty much live on beans on toast and basic sandwiches (I can't make bread, sensory stuff so has to be the "right" bread) but I don't think I'll need to top up any other things before my next "proper" shop.4

Second shop of the month today, £25.87 in Lidl and £43.87 in Morrisons, more than intended but I bought some extras including 2 packs of veggie burgers for DH and 3 packs of soya mince as I can't always find them, often out of stock. Won't shop again for another 10 days or more if possible. Now spent £94.84/£180, and I'm hoping to shop just once more this month to stay on budget.4

I am very new to this but excited by this thread, it's just what I need as I've been budgeting and receipt collecting. I'd be happy to get my food spend to £100 per week for now. Today I spent nothing at all, which is rare as I don't do a big weekly shop. I have been getting into Iceland lately - think I used to feel a bit snobby about it, but actually there's a really wide range of healthy food as well as pizza etc, such good value and freezing is good for nutrition. Woop, yay Iceland. Today I made cauliflower cheese for dinner.Home educating mama of 2, aiming to be self-employed in 2021

That’s very good, I didn’t know they were so good on palm sugar, most places don’t seem to give two hoots about that unless you go to like a whole food place. I noticed their staff always seem happy and chatty. I also like their paper shopping bags when I forget my own - feel a bit like I’m in the simpsons haha!
Tonight I will be cooking an Iceland gammon thing (£3, or in two for a fiver offer so £2.50 and easily does for four) with whatever veggies are knocking about.Home educating mama of 2, aiming to be self-employed in 2021
