Morning, so far I’ve spent £82.97. This breaks down as £16.27 from home bargains for household cleaning stuff and wild bird food, £18.78 on pet food and then £47.92 at Aldi for a big first of the month shop. I was very low on tinned goods and frozen veg so got stocks in. Trying a new greyhound dog food which is cheaper and for retired hounds; she’s not tried any yet but is very interested in the smell of the bag. I’ve not started buying bits to put away for Christmas yet but there will only be me and my son anyway (as normal) so I don’t need much extra. I have actually got my act together and gone through all the cook books and written down our favourites along with the book and page number to make my meal planning easier. I’ve also ordered veg seeds ready for next year including different tomatoes (gone back to moneymaker like my grandad always grew) and some different chillies. Last year was so disappointing as we didn’t get any tomatoes ripen and no chillies set as fruit ☹️SPC #023 SPC 12: £125.86[/COLOUR]:SPC 13: £214.98: SPC 14: £297.41 SPC 15: £237.27 SPC 16 £335.39; SPC 17 £662.09 SPC 18 £20MFW #21 Mortgage start Dec 2015 £79,950; June 2025 £19,394.00 2025 OP £1589/COLOR]/£2,000 MFiT T6 #3 £19070/£25,500 (72.82%%) MFiT T7 #3 £2050/£21,930 (9.34%)6

Lidl spend came to £49.65, but only £25.64 is for the grocery items, now got fluffy blankets to curl up with whilst watching, if I can get the furry owner off 'em to open them up.
Also noticing price rises, and gaps in some of the cheaper basic items, so the more expensive items being available is not helpful for the budget if it's something you need to have, so far I've been able to work round the price rises but I don't know how long I can keep it up.£71.93/ £180.006 -
£116.96 spend this morning - DD has been told to return home from university due to having a stress ulcer (vomiting blood in the middle of the night not a good sign!) therefore back to shopping for 5 adults plus pets rather than 4 so not too bad as previously would have been round the £150 mark (if not higher)
November Grocery Challenge = £314.67/£8006 -
Another delivery and then too many small Aldi etc trips totalling £153.66, meaning I have £148.96 remaining from my £400 goal for the month. I'm actually quite optimistic at this point, but I'm going to have to be very careful, three more deliveries before next payday.6

Forgot to post earlier but went shopping on Friday and now have £175.95 left for rest of the month but have bought both pork and lamb leg for Christmas, plus some glazed frozen parsnips, Brussels with bacon. Only a few more bits to get as I'm fairly certain it will just be DH and I but if we can have family indoors by then our DD1 and her partner. Will need both joints if they come but otherwise we'll just have the lamb and then the pork for new year so it will still get used.
Need to go out again Tuesday to get some veg but will try to go to Aldi as they have things I need on Super 6 this week so should save some money!

I've not been to any shops since Tuesday so I'm really pleased with that. Roast Beef today that we picked on reduced shelf. Plenty for tomorrow and sandwiches for the next 2 days. J is still on sloppy food!! So he is having soup, yoghurts, custard, weetabix or porridge. It can't be anything that he has to chew, just swallow, done mash and gravy he didn't like it. Thought of scrambled egg or rice pudding but hospital said no... anyone have any suggestions please? He is very fussy as well!! Thanks in advanceMortgage free September 2021.
