I guess that’s that then, I’ll just have to pay it. It was my stupid mistake. Will keep an eye out in future.
Great forum though. Appreciate the support and guidance from you all.

Personally I would fight to the end.  More and more PPCs are blinking when faced with determined opposition.

I thought the major keying error covered it , but as ECP had zero money , maybe not !!

The devil is in the detail , paying an app is not proof of payment to the correct entity , it is only proof of paying somebody , not necessarily the correct somebody

So if they have a landowner contract and complied with POFA , you are left with arguing over signs etc , not good , so as CM says , it's a probable loser

Well spotted to the person earlier that linked the other thread , these multiple entity car parks are a menace , we have one in Hyde with 3 car entities involved , 2 private and one council , very easy to mess up !!

I don't see this as a keying error. Those are the transposed digits etc where the parking company has otherwise been paid.

Here, one can understand why a PCN was issued as the parking company has received no payment at all.

You may be able to argue honest mistake and extricate yourself by negotiating for a reduced fee, but the argument "I paid someone else so I'm not on the hook for the PCN" is unlikely to cut it.

I'd certainly not be paying any bolt on debt collection fees if you can help it..
