If I wait till the verdict will my charges increase in any form? Or will it still be max £100? And if they take the BPA clause is agreed - it comes down to £20 is this correct?
The charge is always £100 , it never changes !! It's a Parking Charge Notice for £100 !!

The discount may change , but it's a discount applied to the daily default tariff (charge) , of £100

I don't think you are getting it

If you lose in court , additional charges are added , typically up to an extra £100 , so £100 plus £100 equals £200 judgment , or thereabouts

And I already told you that the £20 major keying error is correct , if admitted

Yes it probably does.  You do realise you don't ''have to pay'' though...and could see this through to appeal, then court, and NO CCJ IS RISKED AT ALL?

As we have seen this at least twice on this forum, is it that the name of the car park on the app looks far too similar?  I would also complain to the app provider and state that this has happened to more than one person, and ask what can be done to make the car park providers clearer.

Can you show us a screenshot of what the two car park names look like on the app?
Yeah I am going to go through with this. I just don’t know the process of all this - this is my first time.

I looked in the app again, it is clear I just didn’t notice it. It states at the bottom in grey “Euro Car Parks”. I don’t think there is much more they can do - it is a mistake on my side. But I am definitely going to go ahead with the BPA clause if and when I hear back.

Apologies Redx it’s my bad - I am new to all this.
Yes you did - I checked the website and I did find this.

I will wait for the verdict - hopefully they understand my situation.

You won't win this on appeal, I am telling you that now.

Yes I have been told that - if i don’t I will continue to appeal with POPLA. I hear they are more reasonable?

No, you won't win this at POPLA either unless ECP drop the ball and forget to put in landowner authority.  It will not be won on appeal and would need fighting in court, just so you know, and no guarantee the Judge will agree.

It'll be up to the Judge and now I have seen that app, I think it is fairly clear.  Your decision but I wanted you to know the position now.  Like I said, you don't ''have'' to pay (but you might decide to, in this case, IF the 'discount' is still available - and I hate to say that because £60 is not cheap).

The sum of money is extortionate but that's not a defence either...so this one would be a gamble with a 3 figure sum at stake in court later.

Surely you searched by the location number NOT 'Matilda Street' on the app?  How can it go wrong if you search for the right number?

Ohh right! Thank you for clearing this up - appreciate it. Due to having this appeal open, what is the process of actually paying for this? - do i have to wait? Or can I just go in and pay on the website?

You can just pay (but don't pay if it is £100).  Can you just answer this, question that I added?

    NEVER search by street.

I guess 60 is better than 100 or more.
You search by location number on the app - not by street name. I got the number from the map on the app - but i clicked on the wrong icon like an idiot. I did wonder why the number was different, I just thought the app was being updated or something. Silly mistake by me.

I feel sad to say it but wanted you to know this is not a 'keying error' (which only relates to VRMs) and that no-one at ECP nor POPLA would 'understand' and that you would not win on appeal.

In the future, we hope that the level of the parking charge will not be as high as £100 and that was what the Govt consultation earlier this month (now closed) was about, among other important things.
