  • You asked about YNAB

Yes it costs 80 something dollars a year. Which is a large cost initially but the app pays for itself in stopping you spending without thinking. Also if you cancel at any point you get a refund equivalent to how much of the year youve got left

You can of course do it yourself for free on spreadsheets but the app makes it so easy to keep up to date.

I like it, but it only works if you keep.it updated.

I agree I was lucky as got first year free for being a student but it's so worth it. I always check it before buying anything and it helps me keep to my set budget.

  • A rather boring week so far.
I've been to work and spent a lot of quality time with my son.
I've been clocking up my NSD's.

  • Food shopping day...
    a whooping 21.50.
So am expecting some money left over at the end of the month. Will use that to pay for sisters christmas present.
Nothing exciting going financially... middle of the month doldrums.
Can't wait for payday... so I can starr next months budget and make another over payment!
2 weeks of having to work from home at the moment.
Still... at least its the weekend@

  • Other option is consider something like monzo or starling banking where you can have pots or spaces for saving up for expenses and assign money to categories

  • I'll have a look at monzo.
At the moment am doing ok but its the first month so its a honeymoon period.
I tested positive so spent some money on clinicell wipes for my house. Am planning on cleaning it within an inch of its life.
I've bought some door handle opening gadgets for when I go back to work.
Strangely... all I've got us a sore throat.
My spaniel is going mental as can't take him out for a walk. Parents self usolating so they can't.
My son tested negative. But he's isolating with me....
Am planning no more shopping! Must be good as have worked really hard this month!

  • Glad your only having minor symptoms. It does seem to be around more again now doesn't it. Hearing of more people testing positive.

It certainly does, I'm part of a cluster of cases at work. None of us tested positive with the 'classic' symptoms.
I certainly wouldn't have got tested because I feel like I have a cold and a sore throat. I only got tested because of others testing positive with the same symptoms.
I can also see why some one would have come to work with these symptoms.
