Well, I've made a small over payment to the pp credit card. Hopefully can make another one later in the month, just need to see how it goes this month.
Also, booked some pitches for caravanning. Unfortunately what I thought I had booked (shown on the website) is not what is showing on the email... arghh so will call later today.
Pucking up some bread on olio today.. fingers crossed!# 36 1p challenge 2024 - £536.60

Another week has gone buy.
I managed to do my weekly shop for 28 pound this week. Will need to do similar next week to get back on target for this month.
Had to get nee school trousers for my son as he's going through a growth spurt.
Also booked some caravan pitches for the summer.. paid in full so I can have some time away if possible# 36 1p challenge 2024 - £536.60

That's a brilliant shop amount
doesn't go very far does it but hopefully you'll get that summer pitch as due reward. Always nice to have something really positive to look forward to.
Hope you are well and safe.

We're doing fine Sam. Luckily it's not affected my work yet... fingers crossed, touch wood etc.
Hope your managing in these strange times.
My shopping amount is rubbish considering my son eats at school, the pet food comes from a seperate pot and work is now supplying free lunches. So I think a lot of trimming could be done.
As for the caravanning... I still have a couple of pitches rolled over from last year 😷..

Hope everyone is coping with the stresses of the new lockdown.
Its going to work as usual for me and school for my son. So financially so far we haven't been hit. Yet, I'm finding I'm increasingly stressed over the thought of redundancy... Even though there is no talk of it at work and we are taking on new staff.
The girls weekend away that I'd pay for has been cancelled. So I got £118 back so paid it straight off the cc.
Next month am going to try and not spend a lot at the start as I seem to over spend then spend the last couple of weeks stressing.
Monthly food budget is going well... despite needing to stretch it 5 weeks am hoping to under spend.# 36 1p challenge 2024 - £536.60

Well the trip to the vaccine went really well. Despite what we'd seen about chaos and huge queues of 3 hours. Walked in at 8.05 and walked out at 8.25.
I had a busy day and have to say how much better I felt for 'getting stuff done' Nothing earth shattering but got out for a run with the dog and then took my son for a jog. Baked chocolate cake, cleaned out the fish and did some cleaning. Oh and 4 loads of washing.
So the mission today is running, ironing, finish the cleaning and some work for work! This annoys me but it'll massively reduce my stress next week so needs must.
Also saw an advert for a second job which looked well paid and I should be able to do.... Will show the advert to my boss as we are not supposed to have another job if it conflicts with our main job and since I'll need a reference from her I can't hide it!. I think I spin it on the fact that the training they'd pay for me would be good for my current job!
Happy sunday everyone

Well January is nearly up and am dreading feb! Am hoping tgat the debts less and the savings more at the end of the month
I have a work subscription at over £100 (Technically I don't need it but saves me 4 to 5 hours a week in resources,) Car tax (think it'll be around £300) and MOT and service in at about £200... so that will wipe out the big bill account. But at least this year I've money set aside!
My car is teenager so its fingers crossed!! last year I got hit for wheel barrings... so hee's hoping.# 36 1p challenge 2024 - £536.60
