Hopefully I will love its work too 🤣

@debtfreewannabe321 that's really cute! I think DS1 will definitely do something handsy when he's older. Mechanic, engineer, something like that.

When he was 2ish every morning he'd have to pick a cable from a big box of chargers before he would go downstairs. He's still obsessed with cables, power tools and so on. This is one of the things I've put away for Christmas for (supervised) use, though for his age he's surprisingly sensible with things:

Up early again. Still ill. Every day seems the same at the moment 😅.

Decided to buy this yesterday. Not sure if it will save us money but thought worth a try, and worst case will also heat room up quicker than heating when really cold. Because we're on the end house gets pretty cold. It's a 2003 build but I'm sure the insulation is terrible. We also have stairs in living room so we can't easily keep heat in, and double patio doors where we probably lose a lot too.

I wanted to try and get a couple of the dunelm Christmas tags where you buy gifts for people who might not otherwise get them. My dad was put in care at 3 where he remained until adulthood and it's all quite heartbreaking tbh. There isn't one in our closest 'big' town so went to next biggest half an hour away yesterday as needed a few bits food bits and there was one next to Sainsbury's there. Wasn't a dunelm, was a range 🤦🏻‍♀️. So that was a complete fail and I returned home feeling more unwell than when I started.

Made the boys little Halloween treat dinners. Did buy the plates and cups but they'll use cups all year and it's all ceramic so will use for years hopefully (trying not to overbuy plastic cr*p). Bless them, they were so excited to hand out sweets but we didn't have a single person come around! DS2 questioned whether it was Halloween as he'd had no 'customers' 😅. Probably doesn't help that we're at the end of a cul de sac but last year we had a lot and I was worried we'd run out of sweets. Wonder if it's because it was a Saturday? Never mind...

    Happy November!

What a shame on the double disappointment! I enjoy The Range a lot, but it doesn't help when you need a Dunelm....🤦‍♀️ And I would have assumed there would be more trick or treater's at the weekend, as the parents would be more available to chaperone 🤷‍♀️? Oh well, at least you still have the sweets!

Hope you feel better soon 🩷
