What a brazen rubbish letter from UKPC ... "If it goes to debt collectors, £70 will be added" ?
If they allow that, the claim becomes fake .... a UKPC known problem ?
Trouble is for UKPC, they have been listening to the rubbish CoP bantered around by the BPA

What were you expecting? If you are reading other threads on the forum you would have known this was on its way.So it's off to POPLA - the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, third post, will walk you through what needs to be done. There are ready made template appeal points in the sticky for you to adapt to reflect your actual parking event. Show the forum your drat before firing it off to POPLA. Do not miss your deadline. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Have you exhausted the landowner complaint route yet? I don't fully understand what you mean by the above ... perhaps the 'lettings agents' also act as the land management company? If that's the case you need to track down their CEO's email and complain like hell before POPLA.TheHennyQ said:Land Owner: Email address has been submitted but is for lettings agents

Spending time at the retail park eating, browsing, whatever ... well that's good for retail, such customers are very likely to spend good money there at a later date. And it was a short overstay too so you have a firm basis on which to strongly if politely request a landowner cancellation. Don't underestimate this particular route to cancellation.6

We don't need to see bog standard rejection letters...this is as expected, you are at POPLA stage.
All covered in the NEWBIES thread (no link given).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

@MistyZ: ive contacted the stores that were visited. One has said without proof of purchase they cannot quash the charge. The other has said "Whilst we unfortunately have no leverage over these charges, we are simply tenants on site. We do however work closely with our stores in these particular areas to ensure that adequate signage is supplied by the parking operators."am awaiting a response from the letting agents for the retail park.3

The above refer to a Railway Byelaws Penalty Notice (PN). Unless yours is a PN, this section of the BPA Code of Practice is irrelevant to your case. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. As Umkomaas has said above, it is not relevant.TheHennyQ said:A polite query before drop boxing A POPLA appealHow relevant is the below section to ANPR issued NTK's5.4A penalty notice must not:•Mention POFA 2012 (as this is not relevant and will confuse the owner about the situation in which they find themselves)•Mention ParkingEye Vs Beavis (as this is not relevant and will confuse the owner about the situation in which they find themselves)•Use the words “parking charge”, “parking charge notice”, ‘’Penalty Charge Notice’’ or “PCN” (as this is not relevant and will confuse the owner about the situation in which they find themselves)•Refer to keeper or driver liability (as this is not relevant and will confuse the owner about the situation in which they find themselves)
The signs however are inadequate so that will be one of your points in your PoPLA appeal, including pics of the sign comparted to the Beavis sign.I married my cousin.
