Takmon said:Figures show that one in five women have experienced sexual assault which is obviously completely unacceptable but that does not mean that it's justifiable for all men to be discriminated against because a proportion of men commit these type of crimes.
If anything you seem to be saying that the majority of men are capable of sexual assault but that's fine because we just won't let them work intimately with women and keep an eye on them when they have too. Which is completely the wrong way to think about it.
The figure you are quoting is from the National Crime Survey - which also showed that less than 4% of men had experienced sexual assaults' (compared to 20% of women) and that the proportion of women who had experienced sexual assault within the past 12 months prior to the survey was higher than the proportion of men who had experienced it ever in their lives.
No one should suffer assault but it's disingenuous to pretend that it isn't a gendered issue. All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)1
