I am doing Maths today with dd as she is supposed to have 5 lessons a week and this week she has only done 4 so far. Each of them has taken much longer than it should. It is as if she has lost all her maths this week including the basics except when she was asked the cubed root of 125 she said easy 5. Hopefully today her normal abilities will have returned, wanting to get back to her den in the living room might help.

It has been such a labour of love. My hardest project to date! I imagine it will be a few more weeks as I'm working at a much slower rate than I usually do. I will post it on the fb group and will try to put a link on here when it's doneBaileys_Babe said:

Taking your time and getting the garment you are happy with is very important, you sound like you have learnt so much getting to this stage 👗determined_new_ms said:

Morning all. NSD for us today. We had a pub lunch from the eating out budget (it sounds grand but it's only a small amount!) for the first time in over a year. It was lovely. And a free walk in the woods. Today l am getting my lounging gear on.
I've got a small amount of painting to do (it's been going since lockdown- all the doors, skirting, anything that was white but went a bit yellow!!) so some masking is needed on the dividing doors between the front and dining room. They have tiny windows, like a georgian sash. About 9ft across. So. Many. Masking is my least favourite job, by the time l've done it l can't be bothered to paint!
The end is in sight with the ebaying too. I've got a few bits to add that l missed and then my fabric stash to go through. As we aren't moving house now but are going to be mortgage free in 5-6 years, DH said l can have his old workshop in the garden for sewing. I am a real home bod so this has made me feel a bit happier about not moving to my dream home. (Long story short we put our house on the market, saw somewhere we loved but would mean starting again with the mortgage as we can't port, DH said he would rather wait and be mortgage free, l cried alot). Anyway, these things always turn out for the best. Onwards and upwards 🙂

Oops, lost you all for a while - for some reason I thought this thread was on the OS board and couldn’t find you! 🙈😂
I'll be joining you again next week (I've bookmarked you now so will at least be looking on the right board tomorrow 😉)
I've been pretty good this week - cooking several things at a time so that I only use the cooker a couple of times a week, re-purposing leftovers, making sure that there is a full load before the dishwasher gets turned on etc 🙌 I've also made chutneys and pickles from remaining garden produce, dehydrated apples that I was given - all things which will save me money over the winter months 😊

That is a good point you make @smushesma about only running the dishwasher with a full load. I do that and only running the washing machine when I have a full load automatically, so I often fail to mention them even though the point of the thread is the small things.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Dd has decided she wants to do some of Monday's maths lesson today. I love the fact that she wants to get it out of the way and she is determined to conquer the difficulties she has been having this week. But Maths this week has been tortuous so I am not looking forward to this. Dd has done all of tomorrows Maths, it took 15 more than what I would normally expect, instead of the ridiculous amount of time she has taken daily this week 🙂Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
