Morning All
Wet and grey here this morning, but I feel a lot better than yesterday. I am planning to keep my fluid intake up, have a rest this afternoon and have another early night to hope to knock whatever was affecting me yesterday on the head.
Plans for today:
🌺 NSD ✔
🌺 Dry the washing on the airer with the dehumidifier on to stop the house getting damp, it also speeds up the drying ✔️
🌺 Make a loaf of bread, we are going to make baguettes instead ✔ stage 1 happening overnight
🌺 Soak the porridge ✔

Afternoon all
Feeling a bit sluggish because I didn't sleep well. I have tried to make the best of today though, having:Walked dog first thing. Was a struggle this morning!Cut fruit trees back to fence line so that the falling leaves don't stress out fussy, odd neighbour. They are only little trees, and there wouldn't be many leaves, but needs must.Took out climbing beans, much tidier veg patch now. Put in some broad bean seeds, and transplanted some perpetual spinach plants into the gap
Swept up resulting mud / leaves etc from path and patioMade mozzarella and tomato toasties for lunch, using mozzarella from the freezer
Reboiled sloppy marmalade that I made yesterday. Won't keep if not enough water boiled off! I am hoping I have done with preserving for a good while now.Dinner will be chilli already made in the fridge. I still have some things to put away, including the marmalade jars which will need wiping and labelling first, but after that will be calling it a day for today!PS the latest washing machine plumbing repair seems to be holding out atm, but will be keeping a close eye on it.6 -
I won a lucky dip on lotto. Naturally l think this is the winning ticket for the draw tomorrow night.
I have a week off work and we have planned one day out, tickets booked! Other days will be free or cheap. I've missed the little tinker since she's been back at school.6 -
Going to be working over this weekend (staffing issues). Have told wife I'm going to try to take at least a few hours off each day for some family time. Bit of a first for me because I usually just work through if needed. Should stop me from getting the 'I'm working hard and earn well' mindset that makes me often spaff a load of money on something for myself.6

Our neighbour gets stressed about leaves falling into their garden. Why then did they buy a house which backs onto ancient woodland?Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

It is decidedly odd BB, but these particular neighbours (who are the sort who hoover their concrete front garden and insist on cutting our bit of hedge so that it is exactly in line with theirs) have been through a lot over the last few years, and I feel rather sorry for themBaileys_Babe said:Our neighbour gets stressed about leaves falling into their garden. Therefore I try to be friendly, though they don't engage much, and avoid doing anything (or letting my trees do anything
) to upset them. As for the hedge, they can definitely crack on with that

I love seeing all the different colours of the leaves throughout the year, greens of various shades, reds, orange and brown. Plus the blossom, fruit and seeds.determined_new_ms said:

Also, the fallen leaves add nutrients to my garden.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
