@determined_new_ms thank you! I picked her up yesterday and tbh it’s been a mad rush ever since. Kept on meaning to post but hadn’t found the time! Thanks for the well wishes, also from CLF and 1LL I think it was ☺️NSD today yay and meals pretty much on plan. Now I’m caring for mum whilst she recovers from op I am making a conscious effort to eat healthy (and cheaply!) to aid her recovery and my waistline&wallet

Today has been very long. Maths with dd was drawn out and tedious, it wasn't because it was beyond her ability nor was she daydreaming, it was just as if she had lost all her maths knowledge somehow.
On the plus side, a good friend rang for a catch up which has made my week 🤗Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Reasonable working hours, switched off and spent a few hours with family.
Don't want to dwell on it but there's essentially -£15 in 'entertainment' budget now and a weekend to go. I have spent £170 this month on my own stuff. I spent £80 on Monday wife doesn't know about on something I've long ago promised I would never do again and not really sure about telling her tbh she wouldn't be impressed let's just put it that way.

DNMS hope your little one is ok. What a stressful situation for you. Hope you have a quieter day today.Plumbing part has not worked, so lots of mopping, and now waiting for a brand-specific kit to arrive from Ebay seller (either today or tomorrow). If that doesn't work I am going to ring the plumber and ask him to put in an entirely new system, as it was totally bodged when it was put in. Seems to have been leaking slightly for ages. Bored of the whole thing now. Anyway, trying the machine out between fixes I have at least got the washing done and up to date, and the kitchen floor is super clean
I am impressed with the new machine, which is much quicker and quieter than the old one, and should use markedly less electricity and water than the old one (though still quite a lot of water it would appear....)Anyway, plans for today include:Dog walk if it stops raining.Make a chilli to use bendy vegetables in the fridgeMake a cake of some kind as the tin is empty - lemon drizzle I suspect, as I can see a fading lemon from here.Start off a quince based herb jelly to use up the remaining bowl of quinces. And OH informs me that we only have 2 jars of marmalade left, and running out would be a disaster, so need to think about that as well.5 -
Thanks Dawn, she is ok and from today the medication should kick in so she has some relief. Bless her she is such a sweet girl and quite stoic so time and again when she tells us something is wrong we should take it seriously. But yet again because she doesn't make a fuss we tend to think it's nothing. More than anything yesterday was tiring because I really was on the go from 8-8 and add in the driving and worrying and it adds up to me being exhausted!
I have 1 work thing to do this morning for probably about an hour and then have the day to myself
I'm going to get my hair cut, and will call in to Lidl on way home for some milk. We have our free Hello Fresh box arriving tomorrow so this week's groceries should be sub £10
other than that I will be sorting out my house - haven't kept up with TOMM these past few weeks and it's showing!
do some sewing and possibly some knitting later
read free book
look into changing bank accounts. Think I can change our joint and personal accounts and get £250 to go towards MOP. Might even be able to rope oh in and get an additional £125. Would need to work out what to do with my savings as currently in joint account
hg/hm ratatouille and ys mackerel fillets out of freezer for dinner
read newsletter. There are a couple of things I want to circle back to.
Right I need to get on and leave in the next 10 minsDF as at 30/12/16

Morning folks
@determined_new_ms - I'm glad Lo is a bit better. And I haven't really drunk any Fanta in yerars. It was a bit of a running joke from my sixth form days. Interestingly though, I can tell you that Fanta has completely different percentages of orange juice in different countries (or at least it did 20 years ago).
@DawnW - what a palaver!
Nothing to report apart from head down and working

Dawn - I made quince marmalade a few weeks ago using some under ripe windfall quinces. I used a new recipe that said to grate the fruit, which made it much quicker to cook. It looks a beautiful reddish colour & tastes good.

Dd maths lesson has gone better today than yesterday, but she is still not using her abilities and it took much longer than it should. I did factor in breaks and changes in activities to try and freshen her up.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Paid another month's worth of overpayment off the loan. So that's 4 months knocked off. I will have some more later in the week.
Didn't go anywhere today, far too rainy!4 -
