black horse ppi reclaim problems.

  • My cheque was posted on 5th Oct, date to receive payment was by 13th according to BH paperwork.
    Call on 13th, told to wait few days.
    Called again 16th, last Friday, was told they were aware of issues, I wasn't only person waiting.
    BH confident issue is nothing to do with them and the new directive issued to CS staff is tell people to wait another 5 working days.
    Certainly not ideal situation.
    I asked about how matter was going to get resolved if payment does not arrive, was told the 28 days speech ect but I said could I not get a BACS payment seeing as issue was not of my doing and given my current non working situation, I was in financial hardship.
    CS lady had no idea as this situation had not happen before but it maybe something to they look at doing as a one off. I personally doubt this will happen. I'll be asking for extra interest at this rate 😁
    sorry caught the wrong button at first ,i know what you mean, it seems to be the waiting game with BH, well they said i should have it with me by friday (earliest) or monday (latest) but if no sign on monday then i need to ring them straight away,
    the bit that gets me the most is that i started this claim back in april 2018! nearly 2.5yr's to get this far.

    Then after deadline closed the paperwork on their system miraculously appeared so it's been over 12 months waiting to be assessed.

    So how are they confident that cheque will appear Friday or Monday latest?
    They don't control the Royal Mail.
    I think it's delay tactics. Either cheque has not been sent or it's bull to stall you and then they'll issue another but that's 28 days apparently.

    I won't be waiting that long. It's their issue, they can rectify it pronto.

    like you say it could be stall tactics, you never know,
    i'll be honest, i spoke to the FCA this morning, explained it all to them incl whats been said on both sides & that the fact i am in hardship due to being on benefits.
    they said that if need be i can ask/demand it be paid by bank transfer by the end of next week, they aid that maybe one cheque getting lost in the post is plausible but two? that's pushing it.

    all i can do is kep an eye out on the post & if now sign on monday then back on the phone.

    Mailing company did not mail out all of them, bundle of approx 100 letters left in back of lorry used to collect mail.
    This was discovered after lots of calls received from folks chasing where their cheques were.
    BH investigated, found bundle on lorry last Friday, 16th.

    Cheques were sent out 2nd class on Sat/Sun and CS staff were updated of this on Monday this week.
    Letters will sent out in next 28 days apologising and compensation of interest for period of time lost.
    This is currently being calculated.

    All bring well, cheques will arrive by end of this week.

  • Exactly everything you said happened to me. Said they couldn't find anything then came back to me beginning Sept 2919...they found 3 PPI accounts. That's were it ends. Last heard from them in July 20 and although I have rang, I can't get through with 40 min delays on the phone. Why don't they put something on the website??My local post sorting office must be short staffed too as only getting post once a week....all very frustrating.  15 months waiting to get this sorted,  it's not good.  Just update your bloody website Blackhorse....and be honest with time frames.

  • The number I used was 0800 151 2449
    That's the BH ppi complaint line number, I got transferred when I told them what it was about.
