Interesting, this thread has had 530 views
Take off the clicks from regulars, wonder how many PPC's have looked at it and the comments from Sir Greg ?
At least they know that they have wasted their time by adding their fake comments to the consultation6 -

Where many of the PPC's will come undone is in the liquidity of their business. They may like to spend their ill gotten gains on crass shows of wealth but it is the liquidity of their business's that will decide the outcome as to whether they can survive the next few years.
CoP and Covid will both impact on the liquidity. It was liquidity that was a major issue during the banking crisis.

Liquidity and toxic debt. I bet their aged debtor list makes interesting reading. They probably have claims listed in their balance sheet as debts which will never be paid. They cannot be writing much off as they resurrect these old claims sometimes after four/five years.
I can imagine that when the new CoP is introduced it will be difficult to resurrect these old claims and they will have to write them off.

I suspect some of the views were from PPC World trying to find something to complain about.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hahaha!
We want our clamps back - pathetic! Desperate times for PPC World.
No worries - this just isn't going to happen but the story shows the rogue industry in its true colours:
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/money/cars/article-8855049/AA-boss-sounds-warning-parking-firms-lobby-allowed-clamp-again.htmlSubmissions to a consultation on a code of conduct for private parking enforcement saw scores of companies calling for the return of clamping, with many demanding it as a top priority because fines were not enough of a deterrent for motorists.
Edmund King, AA president, said the practice of vehicle clamping 'cannot return under any circumstances' and the government should 'stop rogue firms in their tracks, quickly and forcefully'.
Within the feedback on the BSI documents, private parking firms called for clamping and towing of vehicles to return on the basis that the charges were not enough to deter offenders.
Other recommendations by private parking firms also called for the appeals process to be removed from drivers who had not updated their address details with the Driver and Vehicle Licencing Agency.
Outraged by the findings, the AA has highlighted the comments to MHCLG and asked for assurances that clamping will not return under any circumstances and that the pre-existing byelaws be removed to completely ban the practice.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
