Did they really say "final demand bailiffs are on the way"?
Is they are sending threats like that then there could be grounds for action against themFrom the Plain Language Commission:

Hi, the last post on this was 2021, was wondering if anything ever came from the correspondence with CLI? I’ve just had a demand letter from them for being in a restricted zone in Italy back in 2019 but have never received a ticket from Italy. Thanks0

I have the same issue, received the first letter in December 2023 for a fine in August 2020.. it'd be helpful to have some advice particularly from someone who decided to contact them to know how it evolved

Ignore them.
The only thing to worry about would be a letter of/before claim or a court claim from a UK court, but since the alleged events occurred in a foreign country that has no jurisdiction in the UK, treat the correspondence as free but poor quality bog-paper.I married my cousin. Hi all,
going through exactly the same with CLI, I’m just wondering those who have ignored them, what was the outcome in the end?
cheers0 -
I'm sure that if there has been any negative outcome in any of the cases detailed above there would have been requests for further help from the forum. Take it that no news is good news. Continue to ignore.AV89 said:Hi all,

cheersPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

As this keeps cropping up, you have to wonder how many low-hanging fruit on the gullible tree end up paying these scammers.2

Hi. I'm the original poster for this thread. I did engage with them a couple times via posted letter. My letters requested more info and they responded with continued threats. I then stopped responding and haven't heard anything from them for a long time. So while I can't guarantee the same thing for everyone, it does seem like the best advice is to ignore either completely or definitely if they don't respond to any of your letters demanding more information.4

theres no mention of these being the typical charges that people receive for parking etcLDast said:As this keeps cropping up, you have to wonder how many low-hanging fruit on the gullible tree end up paying these scammers.
They could easily be perfectly "valid" speeding infractions1
