Hiya - Just found this thread, what a great idea - I LOVE free cinema tickets! There are tix available at the moment for a free preview of the romcom Dan in Real Life (starring Steve Carell and Juliette Binoche - not the most obvious of pairings...!) on Tuesday 8th Jan at various cinemas with either a 6-6:30 or 6:30-7 start time. From seefilmfirst.com, and the code is 593009.
Hope this is of use to some fo you, and I look forward to finding some free codes of my own from now on - excitement!0 -
I am really pleased with myself tonight. Managed to get free tickets for
PS I Love You
Walk Hard
Dan in Real Life:j
The last free screening I went to was Death at Funeral which was pretty good.Fiona_Babe

I'm really looking forward to "Dan in real life" on the 8th
I love Steve Carrel and TF loved the movie (its simple and sweet, apparently)
Anyone else going to see it?
Oh btw as regards to the film judging thing, i've had an idea.
Basically throughout the year we could just post a rating out of 10 for every free film we see, then at the end of the year we could work out an average?
Then, because different films will have a varying number of screenings, we can have subcategories for "best film with a small audience" (less than 5 votes, say), "best film with a medium audience" (5-10), you get the idea?
It also means each of us will be able to keep track of the movies we've gone to see. How about it then?Haikus are easy
But sometimes they don't make sense

I'm going to see it at West End, looks like a goodie :j
Love the idea of giving a rating :T
Happy New Year all

happy new year!
(yeah the only problem i think is if people actually bother to post their ratings, the vote we recently had didn't take much effort lol, but if people approve of the idea? thats the important part)Haikus are easy

Going to see my first free film next week, courtesy of see film first, and this site of course..
Can't believe you can get free tickets, it's brilliant. Might actually watch some films I wouldn't normally bother with
Quick question though, do you just take your printed slip with you and hand it in where you would normally with your tickets?BSC Member 155

correct, g-g
Don't take it to the box office thing, take it to where they check the tickets and they'll direct you to your screening
oh and you'll want to familiarise yourself with whatever it says on the sheet (turn up 30 mins or so before the film starts etc)Haikus are easy
But sometimes they don't make sense

Finally found the chat thread after being shouted at on the ticket only thread for asking a question.
I was wondering if apart from looking at the ticket thread if there are any other ways of trying for free tickets. I live in Aylesbury and we have an Odeon, there is a big cinema in MK not far from us too.
Would appreciate some help and advice here on how to maximise free ticket applications, thanks.0 -
