    ..............................

Well I'll add 2 more that I've just seen for free - not actually directly through the usual routes found here but using some free Odeon tickets sent to me by Strongbow and some others from a Metro Renault Clio offer that I completed.

    ST TRINIANS.
Disappointing, not a patch on the originals - the 4 made between 1954 & 1966 starring George Cole as "Flash Harry" - the role now played rather unconvincingly by Russell Brand. In the same vein there is a decent attempt by Rupert Everett to play 2 roles (1 female) but he doesn't quite reach the success of Alastair Sim who did the same in the 1954 film. Not particularly funny in the on-screen slapstick or the dialogue. I'm sure many 5 to 11 year-olds will like it but I think adults would prefer to see the originals.
    Can only give it 4/10

    I AM LEGEND
Enjoyed this. A believable scenario to the plot. Good action sequences in a desolate ghost-town of New York. Good camera work and excellent CGI combination. Personally a little disappointed with the ending. Will Smith perfect for the character he plays which he does brilliantly. Can recommend that you see it even if you have to pay.
I'll award it 8.5/10 (would probably be 7.5/10 but an extra 1/10 for Will Smith's presence)

Was anyone at the Bradford screening of Charlie Wilkinson's War tonight, (Mon 7th)?

The film went pffffffttttt after about an hour and we were given tickets to see the film at a later date. However, the wording on the complementary ticket seems to indicate that it would be valid for any film at any time, not even an expiry date on it! Is this the case does anyone know? Don't think I would want to sit through any of CWW again.....:o

Yes - the Cineworld tickets seem to be valid for any film, any time. But ... like you, I don't know that I want to sit through the film again just to see the end - although I did miss a few bits due to the sound being so low.

Also, the cinema was not large enough - many people left as they could not get seats.

This was my first time at this Bradford Cineworld, and I was not very impressed. Is it often like this?

Only been to a couple of screenings there myself...I much prefer the Odeon, Gallagher Leisure Park, when possible cos of the free parking there! Yes the sound was rather low despite requests for it to be turned up. I've never ever seen so many people turned away due to lack of seats as were tonight! Always best to get there in good time...just in case...
  • I have a spare set of tickets to see Dan In Real Life at the Vue West End TONIGHT.

I saw Charlie Wilsons War at Wandsworth Cineworld last night, I was impressed and it was quite humourous in parts.

    I'd give it 7 out of 10

I saw Dan in Real Life - Carrell was amazing, hilarious and touching!
A really good film, really sweet - at the same time there were several sh*t yourself laughing out loud moments!
    A solid 8
    Anyone else see it?

9 out of 10 for Dan in Real Life! Not 10, because the ending was rather predictable, but it was ever so funny! The cinema was the fullest I have ever seen it, and as all those people streamed in, I was stressing that I wasn't in the right cinema, because previews are usually never that full! The atmosphere was very good, people were lauging their heads off. Twice the screen sort of dropped so bodies kept walking around headless, which was of course unintentional but just added to the hilarity.

I am so confused about these Arctic Tale tickets. The Odeon Covent Garden STILL hadn't got them in today altough the PR woman assured me they would be in today, but apparently we can expect them tomorrow now. Also, I don't understand why people are given the information that some screenings are a week earlier. I have that feeling that the Guardian hasn't got a clue what they are doing. It's annoying, because the OH went to collect the tix twice, and he will go again tomorrow, bless his soul, but I just wish they would make their minds up and tell us what's what. I love polarbears and I know I shouldn't complain as the tickets are free but still!!!
