Hope you feel better soon Maria  I'm just getting over a throat/chest infection, nearly killed by a pharmacist in Turkey

elski, Have you tried Nurofen Migraine tablets? My youngest daughter suffers badly with migraine and usually has Imigran prescribed for her but I bought a pack of these as a back up as when she ran out of Imigran last time, it cost me £7.99 for 2 tablets eeek!! and they've worked every time for her, touch wood.

    Sorry for OT post

From the front (of the Bluewater Screens anyways)
In bluewater the 'graphic' noises usually come from the 'Gallery Seats', they are sofas placed in their own VIP section at the back of the cinema, really comfy and quite intimate.. I think people just get a bit carried away. But at £15 a ticket, they cant have liked the film much?

I wish it was from the gallery seats at least you have that partition but NO this was in the regular joe seats that had my dd2 looked over her shoulder would have been quite an education.

Our local vue has just been revamped and they have an evolution screen now that has bean bags, sofas & premium seats - costs couple of quid more but so comfy. Although I avoid the bean bags as I am rounder than I would like to be and suffer from arthritis so could make for a great youtube clip watching me trying to get up!

Derby has just had the huge Westfield Shoping Centre built (opened Oct 07) and part of it is a new 12 screen "CINEMA DE LUX" (a concept pioneered in the US by National Amusements, the world's largest privately owned cinema company) and it will be the first UK Cinema de Lux when it opens in spring 2008 (Easter so I'm told)

(Bristol's Cabot Circus were claiming theirs would be the first but it doesn't open until the autumn 08. Another will be at Leicester's Highcross )

The complex will offer the ultimate viewing experience with each auditorium featuring state-of-the-art Dolby Digital Surround EX Sound and superb projection technology to offer a viewing experience second to none.

The venue will boast luxurious stadium-style seating, including two “Director’s Halls” featuring comfortable Ultra Leather rocking recliners. YUM YUM !

You'll also be able to wine & dine with "deluxe" hot food, alcohol and appetizers served in the relaxed atmosphere of a comfortable seated lounge.

It will actually be run as a SHOWCASE and accordingly will have the free Insider program that provides access to premium events, exclusive screenings, competitions and invitation-only parties.

And kids get the Nickelodeon Film Club, a free entertainment programme for children. All mini-members will receive a variety of unique offerings including a Nickelodeon goodie bag, a free cinema ticket on their birthday and invitations to special cinema events.

    I CAN'T WAIT !!!

    Sorry, rather excitable...
Anyway, saw The Bank Job and really enjoyed it.
Great Brit flick. Best described as Lock, Stock... meets Italian Job without the car chases.
    Definately worth watching 8.5/ 10

Don't you find it sickening the amount of tickets for The Bank Job? I think that's what I'm getting and not the flu! What is it ? Are they scared nobody is going to see it?
    Did anyone see Clubbed?

I've just realised that if I get tickets for the Time Out screening and from Moviebeat for 10,000 BC next week, then I will have 4 films in one week!
Having said that, I am still looking for tickets to the Time Out screening of The Boss of It All this Thursday, just in case someone can't go. :A

do you frequently have snoggers up there with you though? ;)

If I can join in the convo, I remember there was a snogging couple right in front of us during Control!! I'll just be the amateur psychologist here, and say that if they had actually been watching the film, rather than playing tonsil tennis, they'd have been much more awkward around each other!! If I had brought a girl, I would've been!

  • Oh, just to say if anyone posts or spots a rating which I haven't "thanked", please mention it as it may mean that I have accidentally overlooked it.

Only a few days to the update, btw, so I'd better go through the posts and double check the ratings!

Hi Wolverine, I haven't given any ratings yet but since I'm going to The Bank Job tonight I thought I'd give ratings for all 3 free films I'll have seen so far in one go. :)
