Just got back from The Bank Job...how rubbish was that film?! (well I'd loosely call it a film it was more TV drama) I was trying to think where it was better or worse than Death at a Funeral...I'm now thinking worse...my rating 3.5/10
It provided some interest spotting all the British actors from the Gold Blend coffee ad woman to the girl that was in the recent bbc adaptation of 'sense & sensibilty' and as it's based on a true story I suppose I've learnt a bit of history!!
On another note regarding the screening, I turned up at 6:25pm and it was only a small screen and about two thirds full. They showed adverts and trailers and after the third Renault clio ad in a row there really was no need for the 'the new renault clio sponsors this odeon screening' :rotfl:

my other ratings for the two other films I've seen are:

    Juno 6.5/10
    Dan In Real Life 8/10

Interesting - the first time I heard someone mentioning adverts before a free preview. I hope it never comes my way, that is another advantage of seeing previews in my eyes. And finally someone who likewise didn't like the film, I was beginning to think I am on my own!

I knew there was someone that didn't like it just couldn't remember who. Yes I thought it was unusual to get adverts and trailers, I think I may have had on a rare occassion a trailer but not 15mins worth before the film starts.
  • I just got back from the Bank Job and really enjoyed it - was the best film I have seen since Dan in Real Life - had me gripped from beginning to end.

Off topic but WE'VE JUST HAD AN EARTHQUAKE !!! (actually 12:57 I'd say)

Sitting at PC and felt a "wobble" and thought to myself "That's a small earth tremor"

Then a couple of seconds later the whole house shook "BIG TIME" - several things rattled, and ornament fell off a shelf, popped outside and loads of dogs barking everywhere, bedroom lights up and down the street all being switched on.
Wonder where the epicentre was ?

My bed shook! And I thought I am losing it because beds don't normally shake! LOL. I was so glad when I read it in the news this morning, I am not insane (yet)!
