  • I went to Dan In.. .when i should've been revising for my A-level resits and I didn't regret it!!

hehe and I'm doing the same for No Country... (huge acclaim, though I'm expecting it to not be that accessible - i wouldn't be surprised if the comments are similar to those for darjeeling last year!)

Hi all, I just wanted to say that I work for a company that does offer premiere tickets on occasion (we had some for Sweeney Todd yesterday), you would just need to join their Myspace page and enter competitions for the tickets. If anyone would like to do this just PM me and I will send you the name of the company to search for. Please note though that it doesn't guarantee you will win by entering the comps, but you will be in with a better chance than if you don't! x

can you explain a bit more I've tried myspace for Sweeney Todd and i can't find the competition
Thanks to those who help us to win !

Why don't you just PM her as she says? Also, the Sweeney Todd premiere was already so I don't think you would find competitions for it now.

  • Hi all - to clarify again, our MySpace page has occasional comps for movie Premieres at Leicester Square. We did them for Shrek 3, Elizabeth Golden age and we have a few more coming up already. IF we create competitions for them (which we do when we have an excess of tickets), the competition details will be on our MySpace page. PM me if you want the name of the company to search for, I can prob get back to you over this weekend. Thanks - EL

9 out of 10 for Dan in Real Life! Not 10, because the ending was rather predictable, but it was ever so funny! The cinema was the fullest I have ever seen it, and as all those people streamed in, I was stressing that I wasn't in the right cinema, because previews are usually never that full! The atmosphere was very good, people were lauging their heads off. Twice the screen sort of dropped so bodies kept walking around headless, which was of course unintentional but just added to the hilarity.

The dropped bodies as you put it,is because someone has joined up the reels in what we in the industry call 'Out of rack' .

If I did that at once at my site I would be nailed to the wall. Twice in one
film, god knows what my Chief would do.

I was saying to my dd perhaps we should have scarves or something that identifies us as with MSE. what did you think of the film?

some faces you get to recognise- the chap I saw was at dark rising & razzle dazzle last year and we made a joke about always sitting in the same seats- we then got talking about MSE. another lady was there she made herself known on mse the next day.

I do think we should have some sort of membership badge so that other mse'rs know we're there.
off to see walk hard in thurrock on monday so may see you all there.:T

    Vote against scarfs.

Being a projectionist, I could get dragged into the projector mech! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Not that I know of, everyone's username font seems to be the same (apart from MODs and admin of course)
