Hiya - I just got an email from evening standard saying I had won tickets for the Thursday preview of No Country... (thanks Beate). Only thing is it doesn't state the time, it just says Thursday 17th - now, I know the time from Beate's original post, but this seems a bit random?! Is the email legit? Thanks! xx

going to No Country tonight! whoo!
Oh can I suggest people avoid 'the Secret' - I don't know if the tickets are real or not but its based in this stupid and weird thing, almost a cult, which says "You can get whatever you want just by thinking about it really really hard"
The book and "film" have been out for years now, so obviously these weird folk are wanting to spread their new religion
Sorry if I'm being offensive to anyone lol

i thought the site looks dodgy too.....trailer was weird...i thought The Secret was going to be like something out of Dan Brown's Book Da Vinci Code but then half way through the trailer that dude turns the statue into gold and mystical powers was just like.....er......lolz.....plus its 10:30am screening for the london one

  • I'm glad other people are wary of it too. It either looks like something culty or a get-rich-quick scheme. Found this on another part of the website which invites you to their seminars:

This seminar will give you some fantastic insights into how you can experience greater success, and take your life experience to the next level! Mark condenses 7 years of research into human potential into an hour. The benefits of attending include:
    • the inspiration and strength to make positive changes in your life!
    • proven tools that will improve the outcomes you are achieving in life!
    • the motivation and belief that you absolutely CAN achieve your dreams!
    • the four principles that have worked for Mark, and countless other successful individuals - they can work for you too!
 One to avoid, I reckon. Do you think it's worth reporting it to the site mods?

My goodness I posted it thinking of doing some good and it has unchained horrible comments. I don't think it is spam at all, although I am open to be wrong but certainly is not the evilness that you are talking about. I will go on Sat and let you know.
Thanks to those who help us to win !

  • Didn't mean to sound like I was having a go at you, marialionza, it's just that I'm wary of what the people running the film are out to gain.

I don't know, as I didn't get one myself, I hope it is legit! The competition closed on the 10th so it took them a while to respond! I would go there for 6pm and sees what happens. I am sure it will be fine. Congratulations!

Was at the Time out No country screening last night at Whiteleys lucky I managed to get a seat - it was a bit of a disaster! Around 50-60 extra people turned up- if not more. People were sitting down the aisle and in the back. Then I popped to go to the loo and there were another 50 people outside not being allowed into the cinema by security and management - why did they oversell tickets - or were people just photocopying their email tickets and passing them on to friends. I just dont know how an extra 100 people could turn up to the screening.
