Very good. That’s not one of the 4% upheld by adjudicators, it’s a case of UKCPS writing this off to save the £15 IAS fee and then it gets recorded as ‘cancelled due to mitigation’ and the IPC then trumpet that one in 5 get cancelled for mitigating circumstances.  Smoke and mirrors.

These are the cases that PPCs should be cancelling at first appeal but I can NEVER remember seeing ANY cancelled by IPC firms at first instance.  A cynic might conclude that the ‘game’ is to reject all first appeals then cancel only if the victim makes any ‘noise’ at IAS stage.
Given they know only 1% of people take it as far as IAS that would be a lucrative way to work, and this is indeed what our experience tells us happens.

I was parked with 2 friends and they both just paid. I had never even seen the signs saying you must stay on site the whole time. And to be honest I was very close to not going through with the IAS and just paying to save the worry. It was only because I had done the SAR as advised in the newbie thread that I felt I could challenge further.

Lesson learnt to be more observant of signage in future. 😬

Ooh, all THREE of you must please please please join us and provide a response as to the upcoming Summer Consultation the Government will shortly be putting out for public comment.

They are committed to making private parking charges fairer from next year but are holding one more public consultation about the level of parking charges (£100 being extortionate as we all know).

Three of you responding separately with your evidence and statements of what happened to you, begging the MHCLG to ensure that no other people are hit with predatory £100 charges like you were, will really help to balance the ‘public’ replies from people who run parking firms.

Please come back and check this forum in August to see if the Consultation has opened - it will be a short window of opportunity for your friends and you to be heard. This type of ticketing is not OK and must be stopped.
