    Morning all,

Was lovely and sunny here an hour ago...still windy but nice...now it has clouded over and I reckon that we will have rain too soon...isn't life wonderful??

Going in a few minutes to finish my shopping...I hope. My brother is a fan of one charity only and I am going to make a donation in his name, then I am visiting a jewellers I found couple of weeks ago...makes his own stuff which is very nice...need charms and something else, will decide when I get there.

Still trying to sort kitchen...OH is being unco-operative to say the least, he thinks that my ideas are mad ( he may well be right!) but can he not humour me as you would a child?

Hugs to all in any kind of trouble or suffering and congratulations to those celebrating.

Catzine - you havnt updated us on your christmas advent decoration for a couple of days!!!! (Hope you have a lovely time in Cologne!!)

Ooops! Catowen I didn't think anyone would notice! :xmassmile yesterdays decoration was a wooden christmas window to hang on the wall with a fircone and teddy bear arrangement in the corner, very sweet and todays is a jokey photo holder with a snowman painted on the front and the words "Dream big! Yesterday I was just a flake!" I will have to come back and put up 4 decorations on sunday so a good excuse to indulge my shopping itch on the christmas market stalls.;) Hope I am not boring you all with my advent tradition.:o

Shez - I will try to post some photos of the cologne markets if you post some of Covent garden! Well done on sorting out your Mums tickets!

I walked the puppy this morning in the pouring rain in order to tire her out a tad and than had to bathe her, poor thing, she looked so skinny and sad, liquid mud everywhere so had to clean down the bathroom as well and then get the hair dryer out and dry myself and puppy off.

Very un os but have the heating turned up trying to get everything washed and dry now!

Nelski - enjoy your meal tonight and the eye candy!;)

Luxor - it wasn't just you, I had problems logging in as well! definate withdrawal symptoms here too.

right off to find travel ins docs now!

Jayward(((hugs))) hope you soon feel better xxxxx

dlb - glad you've found it - I just hate it when I lose things!

Have mucked out DS1s room today, not nearly as bad as DS2s room yesterday, although I did find some suspect girls pants and some empty condom boxes:eek: have cleaned and moved all the furniture around, I always like to have a good spring clean before Christmas.

Had a nice lunch - just a sandwich but Sis treated me so it was even better! I had brie and cranberry on granary with a side salad and about 3 cups of tea! - no cake !:D

got to pop to the bank now to pay in a cheque for DH.

    Catch you later

Sorry to hear you were in hospital. That's all you need. I think you've been coping remarkably well but don't take on any more problems at the moment. I presume your neice is an adult and she will have to sort things out with your BIL. Don't worry about the money. Your sister trusted you with it and now is not the time to mention it. You must be exhausted you poor thing so just take care of yourself.

Jayward - families are indeed funny things. You can't choose them and frankly sometimes I wouldn't if i could have! Your hubby is going to be your rock and as you say 'he's so good' so let him be there for you. Maybe let him know how much his 'being there' is doing for you and he'll appreciate the comment and be there for you even more! You so need someone to depend on right now. Good luck hun.

There is a rumour going round work that the lodger could be moving on, like you Aussie I do feel very sorry for her. I've been offered two Australian lodgers next year, but told them I'd been warned off Australians by people on the MSE forum. Only joking Aussie, I better duck now, she'll be after my blood. So I'll wait & see, if they haven't made their own arrangements I'll be happy to put them up.
Hubby's gone to bed feeling unwell, so it's poached eggs on toast for me tonight & then some housework.
    Hugs Hester

    Afternoon all

Hugs to all the poorly and "feeling a bit down" ones.

Nelski - Shame on you for spending so much on food and not on a gold sequined catsuit to impress your builder chappie ;)

Well I've had a hectic day and am just having a 5 min sit down before starting dinner. Have just read some fairly mixed reviews about the "lapland uk" place - we're due to visit there on the 18th but I'm sure my DD's will be enchanted.......just need to remind DH that it's for the kids and not aimed for his age group - he can be a grumpy old wotsit at times with things like that.

Got soaked this morning taking DD2 to school and haven't seemed to warm up since.

Got a couple of washes done and on the rads - heating's only just come on so they should dry happily over night. Going to raid the freezer for some HM chicken pies in a bit - think they will be the last from that batch so will need to think about making some more up next week.

Feeling a bit deprived of chirstmas parties this year - DH's works do is "work only - no partners" so he's told them he wont attend but that leaves us with no where to go - all our normal babysitters are busy for the next couple of weekends so can't even book a nice meal out for the 2 of us - think I might just have to arrange a nice takeaway and bottle of wine and bribe the kids to go to bed early :D

Hope you all have a great evening.
