    Morning everyone,
Wet and miserable here, kids are eating porridge and golden syrup and I shall have some Value branflakes later ;)

I'm popping into town today to finish the last few bits of Christmas shopping. I've done most of it online, Amazon must love me :D I also need to stock up on tissues and cold remedies. DS1 has a stinking cold and hates it, but won't take any kind of medicine

Apart from that it's a quiet day. I've got a basket of raisin-oatmeal muffins and flapjacks to take to school for the healthy tuck shop. I must make some coleslaw to have with baked spuds and beans/cheese/hummus for tea tonight. I think I'll whizz up a batch of my vegetable hash for the freezer as I'm finding it so useful.

Have a good day all

    Good morning everyone,

Havnt read the thread properly yet - so ((HUGS)) to anyone who wants or needs one!!!

Horrible weather here today, and i need to go over the bridge to Plymouth for a few things, and i hate going over and not getting everything done in one go - but do i really want to take the LO out in the bad weather? Think i will see how bad it is when we do the school run.

Nothing much else planned, although i still need to clean under the kitchen table, so that is my aim for today (such an exciting life i lead!!)

OK, DD wants her hair doing, so better get going.

    Have a lovely day everyone,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Morning everyone

Here's another one who had a rubbish night. Feel so rotten now and I think I'm starting to come down with a cold. I'm sure it will hold off though and not become full-blown until Christmas Eve.

W**k today so more clearing out files, scanning and photocopying. Much as I love my No 1 job, I hate doing this particular job as I spent the best part of 18 months doing it at No 2 job with absolutely no help or thanks. Still, I'm being paid for all the overtime I'm doing so I shouldn't complain at all.

DS's mobile phoned was delivered late yesterday afternoon so once I have wrapped it up, I'm finished!!! :j

Need to have a good look through the freezer to see what needs using up and what will last until after Christmas. Will do that when I come home this afternoon.

dlb hope you find that list!
redruby couldn't believe you got the same rude, abrupt doc as last time. Hope you're feeling better today.
HH I'm not sure that teaching is the right profession for your lodger. She just doesn't seem cut out for it. How much longer do you have to put up with her now?
aussie and mrs mix hope you feel better soon. ((hugs))
(((( hugs)))) to absolutely everyone today - I think we all need one. :D

    Have a wonderful Wednesday. xx

    What happened??

Despite using every search engine / key word I could think of, I have not been able to find MSE since Monday night!!!

Even the link in 'My Favourites' gave me 'page not found'. I thought the worst, and you can imagine the withdrawal symptoms    . I was almost in mourning.

And here you all are again, as if nobody else was in the darkness outside MSE. Phew:j :j :j . Please tell, was it just my computer?

I have not dropped in recently as I have been having treatment for the RA. You should see me stumping about with my crutches now the cortisone jabs have kicked in... OH took me in to work for a 'treat'!

Off to catch up on my blank days.

    Have a good one!

    Morning!

Add me to the list of 'had a rubbish night' please. Up at 1 15am, had some tea, crackers with butter on it ;) and didn't get back to sleep till after 3 00. Up this morning since 7 30 and do I feel rough!

HUGS HUGS HUGS to all that need it today.

i feel lucky I didn't blow away last night in the winds - anyone else actually hear wheelie bins falling over????????

Anyway, today I'm celebrating Sinterklaas with the SO and my 4 year old DD. Last night I melted on sale halloween chocolate I had in the cupboard :p and made aluminium 'molds' of our initials and poured the chocolate in to them and cooled them. Took off the foil around them a couple hours later and they came out great! We're going to have tea tonight and then have these for dessert just after we read out a little poem that we will have all written about eachother. My DD (I helped) wrote a poem for me and one for my SO. I am going to write one for my SO and my DD and my SO is going to write one about me and one for my DD. It should be fun. The poems are supposed to make light fun of all of us so we'll see what the night brings. Usually when someone pokes fun at me, I'm the one laughing the loudest. :rotfl:

    Well, that's me¬!

    Take care everyone!

    Morning everyone :hello:

Hope you've managed to stave off the sore throat Aussie. I would recommend that you rest your voice for a few days. ;):p
Belated happy birthday to your OH Shez.
    Enjoy your lunch Taplady
Hope life gets more cheerful for you soon Scuzz.
Pen Pen ....where are you?

I didn't manage to get much more sleep last night as I was worried that OH would sleep in. He didn't but the girls did wake very early and tempers were a bit frayed this morning.
As OH is away I've decided not to go into the office and take today off instead of Friday. I say "off" but I have a ton of stuff to do so the office tommorrow will be light relief.

I bought 8 bags of cabbage and leek reduced to 10p in Tesco last night so I will be blanching that and then freezing it along with some baby carrots that where also 10p. I think I may use them on Christmas day as my own carrots are very small in the garden. More embryonic than baby. :o
I need to sort out some washing, go to the bank, clean the living room rug and tidy out the car as well as the usual cleaning, bed making, fire laying etc, etc. I just love days "off". :D

    See you later

    Good Morning All

OH just left for work, he's on lates this week, and gets home just after 6pm.
Woke up with a headache again. Hope it clears.

Me & the kids are at the dentist today at 4pm. Just a routine check up, but I know he'll want to replace my filling, as he said he needed it doing last time and I wouldnt let him! He'll just have to wait again!

Got plenty of washing to go through!
Just prepped dinner, and its in the SC now, Beef stew & Dumplings.

Solicitor finally got in touch, or rather - I had to ring her. She will write another letter, but as EX didnt reply to the last one, we can only hope he goes by the proposals. She said she cant force him into seeing the kids, and that I need to think long & hard whether it's benefiting the kids having time with their dad! I will never stop them from seeing their dad, as that will be the next lot ammunition he will throw at me!

Anyway, going to do my hair, and go to work.
At least I have Fri & Mon off, (long wk end), hopefully go into town on Friday with mum, and finish Xmas shopping! Here's hoping it'll be less busier
    Take care
