Good morning:D
It's grey and rainy here, not nice at all. But at least I'm getting into the site OK:D It wasn't just me, there was a thread on the site thingy board ( oops can't remember what it's called:o ) and webby was trying various things. Quite proud of myself since I managed to follow his instructions and send him the info he wanted;)
Anyway to OS things. I'm going to thoroughly tidy and clean my bedroom today. It looks like a jumble sale at the moment with bags of Christmas goodies all over the floor and every available surface:o :rotfl: I might even make a list of what I've bought as I go along, hope I don't find I've already bought 2 or 3 times for the same person:rolleyes:
mrs mix, glad the knee is so much better, but you still have some healing to do by the sound of it. Don't forget to rest it as often as you can. Coming on here with your foot up is a good idea;)
crazychik hope the headache goes soon. Think it's the time of year, we all have just too much to think about.
JenniO that sounds lovely , the SinterKlaas thing:D Is it a Dutch tradition, I seem to think? Anything involving chocolate gets my vote:T
Oooh DH has just brought me a fresh coffee, so I'll go surf for a few more minutes!!
((((hugs))) to all the poorly or sad.
Bye for now, CMYou never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
:santa2:Morning!
Feel so much better as I had my hair cut and highlighted yesterday isn't it amazing how much better having your hair done makes you feel? But sure enough I went and washed it before I went in!!!:rotfl:
On countdown to Cologne Christmas markets:xmassmile - less than 24 hours till we leave! :j beds for 4 extra people are now made up, just have to start off a huge turkey stew in the slow cooker as everyone will be coming in at different times. Amost packed but checked online at Trip advisor about the hotel and found out that there are no tea making facilities in the rooms:eek: so must find the travel kettle and some tea bags (essential supplies) apparently the buffet breakfast is very good though! phew!;)
My next job as to pack up the puppys belongings and food ready for her "holiday" with our friend and his spaniel Lucy, Holly is staying put and enjoying the peace and quiet of a puppyfree house while being spoilt by another of our lovely friends who she adores.
Right off to tackle some ironing and then a trip to Asda for water bottles, box drinks and sweeties for the journey.

morning all,
I got up at 10 this morning  , must be the after effects of the anisthetic (sp), throat is very sore, they shoved something down there to keep my airways open during op. Still on the whole I feel very good, in fact good enough to sit in my chair under a blanket and boss everyone around :rotfl: :rotfl: well the dr did say that I needed to take it easy.
Hugs to everyone that did not sleep well, I know that feeling, I kept waking up and drooling over pasta with salmon
Hugs to those feeling unwell.
elona congrats to your DD :j
Oh is making a fry up for brekkie, and we are having roast pork form tea with all the trimmings, will put a wash in later and hand on rads to dry, its pouring here.
DD is still off with her ear, but will send her back tomorrow xx
Have good days all

Redruby - (((hugs))) hope you feel much better soon! sorry haven't read all of the thread yet but sounds like you are recovering from an op. would ice cream help to sooth your throat? I remember that helping me after an op!Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Morning all,
Redruby - glad you're feeling up to "directing operations" from your chair:D
Catznine - have a lovely time in Cologne
Hugs to anyone who needs one.
Snowy - I think I shall just avoid the Holywood bypass next week - I'm looking forward to Ikea as well (once the queues die down:eek: )- and we live far enough away for it not to bother us. Ds1 says the bus driver can take a detour up by Tesco if necessary - so hopefully that will be ok.
Well the macaroni cheese with the spinach and garlic layer at the bottom was a huge success last night - the kids were virtually licking their plates. I need to go and review the freezer in a minute to see what's for tea tonight. I also need to set the yoghurt maker going -definitely a great charity shop find. WM and DW are on - it's sunny and very blowy here today so I'm attempting the bathsheets and some bedding on the line. Also need to put the BM on and do some baking as the tins are empty again:rolleyes:
Took two more parcels to the PO today - the postage for one was £8 - but it was books and I'm consoling myself that because they were bargains from The Book People, they were still under budget even with the postage - and really nice pressies for dh's niece and nephew. Only 2 more big parcels to do and one small Jiffy bag for my Mum and Dad and then that's my contribution to the Royal Mail's profits finished. Does anyone else think the cost of parcels has gone up a lot this year?
Anyway must go and strip....our bed - it's too cold to strip anything else:rotfl: :rotfl:

Morning
All is well in the Nelski household as I have my kitchen fitter ticking another "to do" and hes very pleasant eye candy so cant be bad. I was just chatting to him and he was telling me some fab stories of desperate housewives (ok ok i know im one too but....) one lady he is working for at the moment who is in her late 60s and lets just say not a size 8 insists on doing yoga sessions in the open plan room opposite the kitchen whenever he is there:rotfl: and another miraculously finds a reason to bend over in front of him on a regular basis - ohhh must just pick this bit of dust up off the floor:rotfl: Personally im not so subtle............:Djust joking
Got my brother and his wife staying tonight so need to get a bit of cleaning done when the [STRIKE]adonis [/STRIKE]kitchen fitter leaves. They are going out for lunch with my folks and then staying here after and lets just say its a pretty momentous occasion as they all havent spoken for 3 years now  I was invited but prefer to leave them to sort it all out amongst themselves as I have always stayed neutral refusing to lose any of my family.:o I think him doing his time in afganistan made all sides realise that life it too short not to have some form of relationship.
I did make a bit of a faux pas yesterday money wise and you lot would have killed me - I bought a duck from costco for a really good £6 (thats for a full one) to do the crispy pancakey things tonight - anyway then thought id get a few chinesey bits to go with it - so whilst I was out i may as well pick em up - where was I shopping? the Trafford Centre. Where do you get deli/take away bits in the TC - selfridges of course. So I chose 2 meals and some prawny rice, they pile them into plastic containers and I have to go and pay at the check out - get there and ...............oh god this hurts...........£33:eek:   I could have taken us all for a lovely chinese out for that:mad: Anyway its done so they had better enjoy it:D
Right best get some stuff done (and maybe a bit of tai chi in the dining room :rotfl: )
Hugs to all
