I haven't tried the Double Cup method Farway, but reading your link it'd make sense if a person was struggling. Without cursing meself, remember the forest I ended up with last year
BB sorted, but my god it was a battle. I wish I'd read your comment beforehand Arb cos it sounds like that would be perfect actually, but too late now
So here's another 'don't fall into this trap like wot I did' story. My 18 months phone+bb package runs to the end of Feb, they're hoiking the price up for the same package from 1st March. Their "end of Feb" only accounts for it being 28 days so they've already taken the £53 plus another £5 for being "out of contract", which they aren't going to refund. And to stay with them (like there's a choice not to) it would mean a reconnection fee and admin something or other and fresh installation charges. Yes really. They only backed down when I said I was recording this call and would be getting in touch with the Ombudsman. Jeez but they're a bunch of <insert a lot of bad language here> ! So I'm on the same package for a few more quid per month. I can't imagine it'll affect a lot of people but beware when your contracts end folks, don't hit a leap year if the company are <insert more bad language here>.
It's bladdy endless innit. When did everything become so hard?!

Even now, most of the frogs still haven't noticed, so I won't say any more. But in other news, I find the 4G coverage thing very interesting; it explains why we sometimes have to climb on a chair in the back porch to get an email to send. The 'double cup method' sounded rude, so I didn't look.
Like Bluey I have no problem ending-up with a forest and giving away lots of spare toms. It's the one time of year when I'm useful nowadays.
What else, oh yes, this was going to be my contribution to the Moon photos, but I lost it, and sadly, it has about as much atmosphere as the Moon itself.I know, it looks like an early NASA from 1968, and you can't see any stars. Perhaps I faked it too?

Must investigate that router Arbs.
Similar I had a letter, your bb is due renewal at same price no need to contact us. So I didn't and they put me on full amount. Renegotiated and complained, even lower offer and they put it up 2mts later 'cost of living etc'
It's a right rip off. But it's eternal between the fuel and bb of constantly complaining.
Enough though.
Cold, wet and cloudy. There's this shiney round object behind the clouds.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Oh and the rain didn't arrive, naturally.I have everyone's rain, and now it's a Yellow warning until midday tomorrow, so looks like zilch gardening
The double cup, Sorry I didn't explain it very well.Sow one seed, or two if feeling unlucky, into a small amount of compost in bottom of top cup.Once germinated, let it grow as normal, BUT, keep topping up compost as it grows, like earthing up spuds.Being a tom it will root from stem, more roots and no transplanting, no p**cking out until ready to go into final positionMy parcel arrived, completely ignored the "ring bell" special delivery instruction, cardboard box left on step in the rain. Luckily I spotted it before too much rain.Arbs, That SIM router looks like it could become my Plan B if & when my landline is “improved” and copper is withdrawnEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens6 -

I prescribe you now make yourself a lovely hot drink and watch something cute/funny on youtube for a bit
Just to add, if that's not for a year or two then check the specs to make sure it's 4g and 5g (most reasonably priced ones right now are 3g and 4g)Farway said:Arbs, That SIM router looks like it could become my Plan B if & when my landline is “improved” and copper is withdrawnI'm not an early bird or a night owl; I’m some form of permanently exhausted pigeon.4 -
Yesterday was not the most productive day gardening-wise, but I did pot up some Italian parsley seedlings that self-generated in a pot by the back door and did similarly with some land cress which sowed itself in the polytunnel. The management here decided to delete my Google Street View link to the weird garden stones on the grounds that I might be giving away my location/identity, but they needn't have worried. I left that place a very long time ago. Still, it's nice they take an interest in our welfare.
I've searched for a house on Dartmoor we laugh about here, having a garden totally occupied by stones, but sadly, I can't find it.
It could be another polytunnel day, as our temperatures here aren't predicted to go above 3c, and we may have sleet this morning. Sunshine and blustery showers completes the picture.Speaking of sunshine and pictures, when we had the first respite from rain and the sun came out a while ago, our hens showed huge appreciation by attempting to dust bath. The soil wasn't dry enough really, but they had a go anyway!
These are the German Vorwerks....they forgot their towels!

Aww that's a good pic, I was wondering about your girls Dusty. Have they all properly taken to each other now?
Arb I do have a 14 day cool off period so I'm gonna properly look into your sim router setup. I'd love to leave them for badness but the alternative is the pole people and I can't reward them with my custom when they're such erseholes.
I hope everyone's plants/trees/fruits/gardens in general can swim cos it sure ain't a pretty forecast today. A great swirling filthy mess clawing it's way up and round the country. Possibly. Due here mid morning. Which is a bu99er cos I'm out all day today. Colder out there this morning than yesterday, and the birds were singing away goodo when I got up. They're getting earlier and earlier
Happy March and Springtime everyoneI removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.7 -
The quote function hasn't woken up yet, it won't let me delete extraneous bits or type outside the quote box. But re your comment about watching something cute/funny on ootoob Arb - tell you what I was doing last night, looking up desert islands for sale (I was feeling that way out). Some of them aren't expensive at all, but whether you'd want to live on those ones is another matter....
Interesting and diverting though.

Ventusky said rain at 10 and it’s raining now , very windy and grey out there. Not sure of weekend forcast but in work the whole of it till Tuesday ,so no gardening for me.
spending my time looking at holidays and hoping for sunshine.YBE that’s brutal about the bb , I hate all that faff when utilities are due and prices rocket. No wonder folk stay with the same company. I prefer to do it online than speak to them over the phone, I’m weird like that not a phone person at all.Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.5
