Awful weather - typical Brits talk

Hope you're feeling okay now, taff. My knee is (k)nipping - I currently have germolene and a big plaster on it.
twopenny, was it definitely Weed and Leave for the moss destroyer?? I was in B&M today (first time in aaages - I've really missed that shop) and they had something called Spray and Leave moss killer. It was Spear & Jackson. I think it was £7.99 instead of £9.99 for a 4 litre ready to spray carton (with a spray thing attached). They also had fruit twigs trees in B&M - really cheap - 2 for a tenner, or something daft. I saw conference pear and morello cherry.
I bought plants todayjust couldn't resist a couple of pots of snakes head whatsits - one the usual purple colour and one white. Also a hollyhock. No idea what I'm going to do with them. I'll take pics tomorrow.
It's been about 4 degrees today - freezing cold and heavy rain, which got heavier as the day went on.

Ooops sorry Poppy, that was something I was finding for elsewhere.
It's Wet & Forget

They do a 2 litre and 1 ltr which of course are cheaper.
I suspect some investigation can tell you the dilution rate so area can be worked out.
I used a watering can and yard brush though it didn't suggest the brush - I just felt it was puddling and it would be more economical to spread it out. Also got it to the edges better.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Wet + Forget, I think that's what lovely neighbour uses. It brings her patio slabs up a treat.
I didn't get much gardening done yesterday for it drizzled and rained and thickly drizzled. We had many mm of liquidously descending precipitation. But I got my ska tree planted so that's one thing. Took longer than it prolly should have cos once I'd done it I thought it'd look better with the tree upright rather than on the angle it was on in the pot so I redid it. Looks well now.
Humid out there this morning and so mild! 12' ! Heading for 15' later! My gas bill says thank you but it doesn't seem right does it. My fault for buying that sheepskin coat the other week... D'ya wanna borrow it pp?I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.6 -
Yellow rain warning today. Just seems to mean what we already know, that the ground is saturated and its going to rain all day. But it's 13c out there which is fine by me.
Went for a beach walk again yesterday and collectmore little white pebbles for the side alley which cheer it up no end.
Got the 2 pot too for the thymes so I can try to duck and dive with whatever's eating them. May try that today if the rains not so bad.
Sheepskin coat eh Bluey? Haven't seen one of those for years. I used to have a glamorous one and an old one. Now I have a cupboard full of multi coloured fleeces the machine way.
But ive discovered wonderful thermal vests too.
I remember a couple of februarys when it went to 19c and I stopped in the middle of a dog walk to sunbatheso it's not all new.
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

I thought I mentioned it on here.. stoopid brain. I found it in a charity shop a wee while ago so even though I don't strictly need one I bought it anyway. I swopped out my old lambskin for it so it doesn't count as a purchase£25 Might be my best buy ever (as long as Farway is right and the Global Boiling has been cancelled and we’re to get polar bears etc ha haa!)I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.6

No rain this morning, could even be a hint of sunshine.YoungBlueEyes said:That’s a beggar about the botched notching Farway, how about sellotaping it back together? I’ve done that before when I snapped a thick bit off a rose and it worked.Nice daff photo BTW, always cheerful aren't they?Unpacked my new Purple Haze apple and plopped it in a bucket of water.Later today I'll temporarily stick it in a pot with compost, sort of heeled in, until I take it over to DD this Sunday now permission granted to plant in her garden. It's about four feet tall at the moment, so it can grow up along with your ska tree Blue. Were there any further clues on it apart from apple? Variety etc?Has anyone used Hydrogen Peroxide as part of gardening? My YT rabbit hole lead me to it's uses as fungicide / disinfectant sort of and just wondered if anyone here had used it, and where did you buy it?I've no immediate use AFAIK but seems it can be also used as a “pick me up” with plantspink_poppy said:Hope you're feeling okay now, taff. Those fruit twigs would take years to fruit I bet, and make large trees as well. But even so, a conference pear is nice and reliable.I have [had?] snakes head thingies, came up every year but seem to have gradually trotted off to the fiords. I did find they are quite amorous and give multicoloured mixed heritage off spring. Watch out for lily beetles on them, little devils consider them an ideal starter snack.I've got a hollyhock, like you, I acquired it without any idea where to put it. It's still alive but has never become one of those towering stunners you see around, maybe this year?Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens5 -
Odd. I recently read about hperoxide in some plant spray/feed/bug killer - but apart from surprise which is why I remember it, I can't remember what for!
My friend used to buy it from Boots for her hair.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

PP, my mother used to put honey on my grazes in the late seventies/early eighties before it became popular and before the days of oh no, that's fake honey from China....very sticky but worked a treat [just bog standard though, not super expensive stuff...] Just one question though, will you be picking the scabs when they appear? It's something I've never grown out of...Thanks Farway...I thinkThat's a bit of a haul Dusty, good luck with that lot!Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi4
