Awful weather - typical Brits talk

No sunrise pic, unfortunately. My rubbish phone was charging after it lost about 80% overnight (I think it’s the low temperatures). Never mind, Dusty’s sunset pic certainly makes up for it - gorgeous colours ❤️ Btw, a bit tmi with the squits description, Dusty 😂
My phone is now charged, so here’s a pic of the top of my bin (I know how to live, but it did look pretty) and my ice blocks...

I missed your post Dusty, that is some sunset eh!
Front page material, deffo. Or even calendar material. I'd have taken a pic of the top of my bin if it looked like that too pp, isn't it pretty
I don't know what phone you have but - my phone started doing that, lose just about a whole battery overnight. So I switched it off one evening to really charge it and it never switched back on againI had to buy another phone and start again from scratch. Apple store couldn't do anything, apparently sometimes tech will just die on you and there's no reason for it, they just die.
I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.4 -

Sorry about the TMI. I've amended my post to care for the sensitivities of more delicate souls....

I've just been outside to shoot another sunset, and the sky's almost identical to the way it was 24 hours ago. No horse, though.
Picture will come tomorrow; photo software being on the other 'puter.
Another afternoon of post bashing for Mrs Dusty and me.I figured while I had her, I might as well go for it and do a few more! Now I can relax this evening, secure in the knowledge the sheep won't break out up here at this end of the field. What they might do at the other end is another thing!
They've grown so much in the past few months and can't be considered dinky little 'lambs' now.
Have you had that call yet, Bluey? Our Drs guarantees a call back before 18.30 on the day you submit your e-consult before midday, and it seems to work."There is no such thing as a low-energy rich country." Dr Chris Martenson. Peak Prosperity3 -
I thought you were going to say the turning on and off fixed your phone, YBE - I'll not give that a try then
I'm also hoping you managed to speak with the Dr today and have an idea what the problem with your toe is.
Dusty, I have no idea why the bin lid pic is blue - I'm sure my bin isn't that colour. It reminds me of the 'is it blue or is it white' dress debate from a few years ago. And I thought your squits description was quite funny - my weird sense of humour'A watched potato will never chit'...2 -

And I thought your squits description was quite funny - my weird sense of humourThe blue cast is probably due to something like the scattering of light rays from the dark lid mixing with those from the white ice, and although I made that up, it sounds plausible!
I never really got into the dress debate, mainly because people's screens are all adjusted differently, as are our brains, so no one truly knows what others are seeing.
The funny thing about the squits comment is I wanted to sneak it past swiftly, after a certain other poster's trouble last week over a leaky rim.... but that didn't work out!OT: Cloud has moved in from the North East, so apart from having to call Mrs Dusty 'Bonny lass,' the temperature is up about 4c on last night's. No rain forecast for days yet.

Morning everyone
Though you'd hardly believe it, dense cloud and it feels like should be getting ready for bed.
No rain or wind and it's 5c. Was a tropical 6 last night.
I might even get my weather vane put together this weekend without danger of it blowing away.
My blackbird has been back sitting on the fence by the bird table 2 mornings in a row so I have hope.
Another little bird in the grass too.
Most of today about planning how best to view the overland launch of the lifeboat. Hunky men pulling a heavy boat over the steepest hill in Britain for charity. Camera already charged and ready to go.
Hope you're continuing to feel better Dusty, waiting on your toe Bluey, pretty photo Poppy but I could feel the cold from that. Did wort ever get back from enjoying herself? Farway awaiting results of the border. Morries used to do forsythia but not the fancy stuff. Anyone getting rid of a bush?
That always happens when you don't need them.
No gardening as I need to crawl about to prune and get rid of dead stuff in the lavender hedge. That's not getting any better.
Bulbs have suddenly popped up by 6" so. Some early daffs by town roads and walks.
Lots of leaf mulch in the woods that seems might stick to my boots
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Here's last night's sunset with no horse. Pretty enough, but lacking interest. The red sky at night did not herald delight, but as 2p says, just cloud and kinder temperatures.I'm OKish, thanks 2p, but not up for a physical challenge today, just shopping.Trust toes, tired feet and shrubless borders all start to mend today."There is no such thing as a low-energy rich country." It was indeed glorious last evening.
I saw the big orange globe just above the hills with orange rays streaming upwards - but was in a queue of traffic and frustratingly couldn't find anywhere to stop.
It was a matter of minutes.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Just as everyone is posting lovely pics my camera refuses to focus, had a car park red rose lined up for perfect shot, camera decided it was a Landscape and not a Flower. So refused to close focus, tried all sorts, including going to manual.Bitter cold, dripping hooter & frozen fingers by then
, so abandoned, and I'll tinker away in the warm today
The blue ice, I seem to remember it was light diffraction or summat, which is why some icebergs are blue, and Polar Bears' extremitiesMade the last bit upRef squits and cold, didn't they use penguin poo trail to track Emperor penguins by satellite? Hopefully, GCHQ will not be tracking you Dustytwopenny said:

That always happens when you don't need them.. This year I promise to take cuttings from it. I think it may have originally come from Morries, or £land, one of my top-notch suppliers.
I always look in Morries, just in casePS, milder, but dull & cloudyEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens5
