YBE sounds nasty, as Farway has suffered in the past I would take his advice and get something for it.
Farway send me some blue sky please, I’ve pegged out sheet and towels but it’s very still and overcast and cold so may come in as damp as when it went out.
Off for a walk into town with my dsis, I don’t need anything but need the walk. Get me ready for a longer walk tomorrow with friends.Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.3 -
Who was wanting an extra greenhouseThis is on the coast with winds and salt air.Cute!Wind has dropped this evening/night. Hoping.........Did manage a quick and not brilliantly done, bit of pruning on the fruit trees while it's cold and dry. Fingers crossed.
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Ooh that's a dinky greenhouse 2p! Good solid walls too - I'll take the lot
Fingers crossed for your trees :fingerscrossed:
I rang the docs the second they opened, and I'm on the 'the doc will ring you in a bit' list. As it's a non-emergency I'd have to wait weeks for an appointment. I shall say nothing further about that because I don't wanna curse myself
Hope yous have a lovely walk today wort, get some extra steps in for me will ya? My phone says I only did 210 steps yesterday, and I'm not even sure it was that many.
Marginally less cool out there this morning maybe, well the wind's dropped and the humidity is dropping. They've put snow back in next week's forecast, only a 30% chance but still.I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.4 -
Morning you stopabeds. Hope it's for an exciting reason.
Bluey how's the toe?
Farway hows the snow?
Dusty hows the hedge?
Wort enjoy the walk.
Poppy I'm lost because I can't turn over the page but hope it's good.
Waving at Imp and Arbs. Don't work too hard.
It's positively tropical out there at 4c and the wind not so biting.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Hope the sore toe improves soon, YBE. The only other thing I thought it could be is a corn, but I didn't think they were that painful. Fingers crossed the Dr can give you answers (& medication if it does turn out to be gout).
We had a stunning pink sky this morning - absolutely beautiful. One of the hills is still looking like Uluru, bathed in wintry sun. I can also see some mist rolling around in the distance. Forecast is the same - bloomin' cold. It looks like we've had snow, but it's just Jack Frost again. I've now got three solid ice blocks in the garden after emptying the birds' water dish and refilling it over the last few days...'A watched potato will never chit'...3 -
Sun & blue sky again, but still frozen with the snow in shady bits, even if I wanted to dig the ground is solid & frozen.Up to a volunteer meeting PM, so I can check if the forsythia survived the new fence or not, and I'll try for a happy face pansy pic while thereYoungBlueEyes said:

I keep getting tempting offers for plants & seeds, but have to resist, just no space leftEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens4 -
Bluddy ell, everyone's up this morning!
Toe is v sore 2p, considering how small an area it is it's disproportionately painful. I'm thankful it's only the one toe.
I didn't think of a corn pp, I've never had one so it never occurred to me. I'll D'Duck it. Pretty sure it's gout (going by the NHS website description) but I'll have a look. Did you get a pic of your beautiful sunrise...?
Fingers crossed for your forsythia Farway, do you have a plan b if it's a goner? As for having no space left, maybe have a look for a small house+ big garden combo on RM. Spring is coming, it's all starting to get going again.
Speaking of spring, I saw Lidl have their daffs in again - 99p a bunch. I don't know how I resisted them for I love daffs
Edit - not a corn. Also you'd think people would wash their feet and clip their toenails before having a pic of them takenI removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.5 -

I can't think of any near a car park that may need pruning, but TBH I've not looked very hard yet.Hope your possibly gout sticks to one toe, mine crept to the soles of my feet and into my hands and that was horrible. When I see pics of King Charles' fat red fingers, I reckon he has gouty tendencies as well.I did read of someone had it in their eyes, and that would be terrible.Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens3 -
MIA yesterday due to pressures of various things, mainly work-related, but also the suspicion I'm fighting-off some bug, which is slowing me down. It all started with the squits a few tummy problems on Monday/Tuesday, followed by bouts of snivelling and sneezing at night thereafter. Fine in the day, but not 'right' if you know what I mean.
Anyway, apart from the usual jobs, like breaking the ice on the sheep drinkers, I decided to take it easier yesterday and sat on the ride-on all morning making hay!
Then I spotted it; fence to neighbour's garden at 45 degrees, and sheep looking longingly at their grass!
So, yesterday pm was Mrs Dusty and I, banging in some temporary posts, which was rater more 'active' than anticipated for the day, but that's farming for you. Once into neighbour's garden, sheep could be off down the road with potentially serious consequences, and not just for them. Partner farmer was told over a year ago he needed to deal with that fence, and of course he was getting around to it, 'dreckly.'I'm dealing with the hedge in hour or two bursts, 2p. It's a massive job that needs care and that's easier to achieve when the wind's not blowing through you, and you can feel your fingers! I have to get as far as I can with it before the end of March, but also take down a few trees by then too. It's not just firewood, but the need to make room for the 'better' trees which grow more slowly and now need space. The plus point is that Mrs Dusty will let me buy a new chain saw, because the current one will probably be toast by then. After 7 winters of heavy use, my electric 'toy' as one farmer put it, has done incredibly well....and I still have my hearing!Hope the gout eases, Bluey. My friend had that when he was about 45 and cured it somehow. I seem to remember cherry juice being some sort of home remedy, but don't quote me on that!Wort, you'll have to walk for me today too. Hope it's a good 'un. I'm over the aches from the last one, but too busy to do another yet. Mrs Dusty is doing major things in the chicken orchard, so she's also reluctant to go for a quick stroll in the woods near here, which would be the default in busy times.Seems quite benign out there and 4c + sunshine promised, so off I go now. I have 'hay' to rake, spoiling fun for the blackies which are rootling through it!Here's a sunset photo I took last night. Thought I was too late, but the sky was amazing, so out I went, not expecting much:Another. “It fell into the lens, guv!”"There is no such thing as a low-energy rich country." Dr Chris Martenson. In their eyes?! Holy jesus, I'd have to be hospitalised and sedated while the drugs kicked in. I can't even imagine it in the soles of my feet, that must have been agony
Some reading says it's a form of arthitis, so if your a sort that gets it you're more likely to keep getting it. Isn't that nice.I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.5
