Glad you’re back on fine form Farway. Re your bin, I think I’d be ringing and ringing and ringing the council then, as you’re paying for them to collect it. Lazy swines.
The bu66ers have all got Covid now according to today's e-mail form council and rubbish bins are not being collected or late
Garden bin collections suspended and will catch up if possible, for which I read "no chance"Seems like my garden bin is on same trajectory as your drying, a distant dream :(

OT, on a lighter note, pun intended, replacement light switch from Amaz"! arriving later, ordered yesterday, so something works around here
Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens
  • Ahh I'd be cross about that. They've got you over a barrel really, and I expect a bit of reimbursement would be a distant dream too...

Well my washes are back in and having a spin. It is absolutely definitely truly gonna be windy today say all of them. I've deleted the bbc one in a fit of pique cos of their poor and inaccurate reporting over that thing that's going on in a hot place. Say no more.

Mild out there this morning but damp with it. Still nothing in the sunrise/sunset dept but we're coming into the better time of year for it. :fingerscrossed: Sunny and cold again today which I do like, as long as the humidity is low. I'll be making the most of it cos there's a whole lot of weather coming for us easterners :o
I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.
  • Well that’s clearer than any of my (instantly deleted) Venus pics!

Speaking of deletions - where’s my profile pic and sig gone? Is that cos someone complained or do they just do it cos they’re pi$$y?

Just looking at the diy forum there seems to be a shortage of avatars at the moment so it's nothing personal Bluey.

Window lady been, car cleaned and cooking done. Too chilly and windy to enjoy the garden.
Beans are down again. No point putting them back with the forcast but I got a very good portion from them last night.

I think it's some good news that my box hedge which is being eaten by something is showing new shoots. I must make a thread about all the problems out there and see if anyone has an idea.
Perhaps tomorrow as it looks like a day in.

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

viral kindness .....kindness is contageous pass it on

The only normal people you know are the ones you don’t know very well

  • Ah ok, thanks 2p. They’re maybe having a cull then.

Well it might not be gardening stuff but you’re whipping along  Good news on your hedge, the new shoots sound promising 🤞🏻
Nothing moving here, tomorrows dinner’s in the slow cooker and I’m off walking with lovely neighbour and handsome at 1530.

Washing’s all dry though! Thanks so much St Fiacre :kissing_heart:

Like events which happen in the news, these things are usually not accidental. However, it was Western Power (now the Irrational Grid) which deleted my entire post this morning. :'( I shall never recover those minutes of my life or the content of my missive, but knowing what I said, maybe that's a good thing! >:)
Anyway, both photos are splendid and I'm glad they're still there. o:)
My gardening today is very topical; I have been recycling bits of a huge cold frame I built in the 1990s to make winter side panels for the polytunnel. It's sat in the barn for 14 years and I knew it would come in handy....one day. o:)
Good luck with the car 2p. :) Another MoT for me near the end of the month. Can't wait! :#

  • Ooh congrats Arb! Quite right too cos that is (and the rest were) lovely pics

2p I'll have a dig through my phone and see if I can find a thing about garages for you. It's from a few years ago in the Martin Lewis email. He put up a list of council garages that'll check your car and tell you what's up but they don't do any work or recommend another garage. They just give you an honest to-do list. I'm sure I kept the info somewhere.

Mild out there this morning, 11' and dropping humidity  Bit breezy but I shouldn't complain cos tonight it'll be properly windy. Looks like your dgd is gonna get it again Farway... has she got dried out from last time?

Oh and this is from a while ago :grimace: but someone was saying about patio cleaner? Well lovely neighbour uses this stuff. Once a year usually she says, but very occasionally twice if you get a while lot of moss/lichen.
