Not sure about your AI D but you've always come across witty to me and not offensive, guess we can't please everybody and some peeps take offence about anything it seems 🙄

It is easy to read a post and think it is aggressive when it is not how the author had intended.

Well today, just baked some cookies and cleaned out my cutlery drawer, all excitement here!  Too wet to do anything outside (so far) with non-stop rain 🐈

Schitzostylis is one of my favourite perennials, i have a large swathe of them here, love the pink ones 😍🌺

Drawers full of cutlery? Could get quite a ....no, not going there!

Can't give you pink bloomers, but here are some the red ones I snapped in a garden in Wiltshire where HRH used to have secret trysts with Camilla. Lovely spot, although the Chaste Tree was perhaps somewhat out of place.....

Regards the Schitzostylis, we have deep pink/red; lots of green this year, not a lot of colour. They weren't too crowded, but have still thinned and spread them around a bit.
What was anybody else's results this season..._

Mine are the pink ones, given to me a month or so back when my friend was thinning hers out. I have a lovely, healthy rosemary plant for her, grown from a cutting. I  do like plant swaps,  but I  am getting forgetful in my dotage, half the time I just use nicknames like 'that bee plant'. I am hoping that the perennials I've put in this year will do well, am longing for spring.

Another name for Schitzostylis is 'kaffir lily,' but if you Google the first word you'll understand it's out of fashion now!

We used to sell plants and the computer labelling/reference books always had the Latin name first, so we learned those more than the English names. Quite funny, because I hated Latin at school! I used to think "Why the hell do we have to learn stuff like 'We shall lay waste the lands of the Barbarians with our spears and arrows'?" It seemed to an 11 year old that I probably wouldn't be doing much 'laying waste' as a grown up! .....well, certainly not with spears anyway. But I kept my mouth shut, as I got enough detentions for Latin as it was!

Cherry Falls which I'll try as replacement for my Balcony  type, and Ship Saint [F1], just because it was on £1 offer & not 10 seeds for £2.99  so worth a try

I know, what you mean though C. I get misinterpreted on here a lot and always in a negative manner, it is very annoying/hurtful, just ignore those peeps 🤗

Sometimes I can't stop myself being mischievous, like on the 'pigeon' thread where I advocated trapping them and making a pie, but mostly I am well-behaved.

I used to have an AI, but he got banned because a snowflake took exception to him. MSE wagged a finger at me. He was only a bit rude, in a Carry On film sort of way, but of course that's exactly what pushes some 'woke' people's buttons!

Oh dear, I sometimes post Carry On style comments, but Kenneth Williams said when he saw an innuendo in a script he just whipped it out

My character always referred to 'Matron' at the end of his posts and included a double entedre. Considering I failed French oral, that was quite an achievement.

Mix of sun & showers today, only spot of gardening was pretty up the pots African Violets grown from leaf cuttings  I'm giving my older granddaughters for Christmas, who I'm please to report are "into" plants

I hoped the gene would pop up somewhere down the line

T & M have free postage today, so checked for cape gooseberry [physalis] but the reviews are pants, and given the somewhat iffy reputation they've earned I'll skip this offer

I've watered in the poly and checked the sheep, so now I'm off for a long walk into a restaurant some miles distant, where my friend will join me for a ramble through the Christmas menu.....
