Good news on the tinternet Farway. I must look into it. I'm guessing it works out cheaper? Any contracts?
OT, but have a read of recent thread. It does depend on what you do, lots of gaming, sooper dooper def films etc maybe beyond mobile BB. And a reasonable, steady, mobile connection. I looked at coverage and because I had to clear off the soon to decease copper line anyway I decided to give it a trial go before jumping all the way

Plus I'm contract free, bought a two year 1Tb SIM, after testing network, under £2.50 per month, versus the £34 plus I was paying😁. but you can get a rolling one month mobile plan, and can change at will without charges.
PM if you want more info
Back to gardening, ref the ego wahtisits, on GW someone was pirking out violets, and mentioned Hearts-ease as well. It crossed my mind to try sprinkling some seeds about to see if they will succeed where ergo will not. There are wild violets in the verge opposite, so the area is suitable at least

Very quiet here this morning. Everyone else seems to be having a good lie-in! 😏 Guilty as charged, too warm & cosy under the duvet to get up on this dull & grey morning.
Well, we were up early, and braved the foggy weather forecast to head for the hills for Sunday am walk…
Have had mixed experiences with Trombetta/Tromboncino and Crooknecks (plus Straightnecks, tried this year) - some years very good crops, others very little… The Trombettas excelled this year, with two large, two very large, two large medium and c. 6 small second-thoughts, the last ones picked only yesterday, all from one plant. The only cucurbit that beat them this year were my own saved seed from a Delicata squash, which must have crossed with a courgette - two plants which scrambled everywhere and must have produced 20+ superior courgette-like fruits each, only giving up and collapsing (from exhaustion?) in the past week or two… though cucumbers (in greenhouse) did exceptionally well too… Winter squashes on the other hand pathetic - one Anna Schwarz Hubbard squash and 3 (of which two were tiny) Uchiki Kuri from four plants… Veg spaghetti did quite well too now I think about it, but don't quite live up to my childhood memories of eating them…
