had to hold it still as it’s blustery out

Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.

Oh I definitely think you should do the YouTube idea 👏 you have the gardening and tech knowledge. Nothing ventured nothing gained 🙂

Use your ai photos as a front page.

You have my admiration. I've just wasted half an hour trying to find out if an online shop is genuine. Goes by two different names. Presumably the original family chemist in Dymchurch used to give 'security' but now a take over by ?

All because I can't get good products in the chain pharmacies.

Dusty we were having a long chat about old cars yesterday. The consensus seems to be they were better value and longer lived. I passed an electric range rover yesterday and it's over 7ft high 😲

2p: Dusty are those things from corms/bulbs etc?

They're corms, I think. They like sunshine and moist soil, but seem to tolerate normal borders. I believe wort's pink one is called 'Mrs Hegarty.'

Yes, many reds are tricky to render accurately in photos, Farway. Yellows can be blown-out to white as well, while blues can look pink. Like life itself, it's all illusion. 😕

wort: I’ve had a good clean of the house for the burglars 😂

We do the same for our family visitors…..and then they mess it all up in 2 days. 😣 DD and family are leaving today, as they're getting the keys to their new home, up Bristle way. All our close family will now be in the West Country, plus a good number of the occasionally spotted ones too. ☺️

I know, though owning a van that's even higher, I must 🤐 'Progress' also comes in the form of connection to the internet, allowing the manufacturer to keep ultimate control of what they've sold. Some folks don't go along with that idea. They think Peak Car happened around 2012-15. That's the era Mrs Dusty's 'new' car comes from, though it does have a few modern features. One of them, Mrs Satnav, immediately began arguing with Ms Google about how we should go home. We shut them both up, and went a third way, so we could pick up some stuff for dinner! 🤣

No gardening done yesterday. Today looks fairly benign, with some showers later, so I may begin laying claim to the fallen Wych Elm, removing the upper limbs and freeing the hedge and other trees properly. It could take a week to cut up all the parts I can manage. The rest will await the attentions of a gentleman who I'm hoping will deal with a few other trees which have become too large for their sites. We need to make room for others being shaded by them, and there's firewood for 2028 to consider.

Making today's photo relevant isn't too hard. Farway and wort are thinking about protecting their dahlias before the frosts, and if you had one of these you'd probably be taking it to a place of safety too. They used to be called Abutilon, but this one was labelled Calianthe…..so I think that's the new name for them.🙄 This one is called 'Red Tiger.'

Bright but colder today. Sheesh but it came down in sheets of rain yesterday and a cold wind so the deer were sensibly nowhere to be seen - but promised dry for the foreseeable.

The garden is still wet and soggy so I've no inclination to go out and weed. If it does stay dry that's a job for the weekend.

So I've no real gardening news at the moment other than I'm getting ideas in my head.

Washing, painting, clearing may be done in bits but hoping to get onto sorting photos out and I know I have some made to post here so a bit of brightness and cheer on the way 🙂

Sun is back, after the dull, wet & grey last few days. Like 2p, no inclination to go out and do things in the garden though

For me the You Tube idea is forty years too late, I really CBA to attempt learning videography, editing videos plus I think video gobbles PC memory & space, so my second hand Dell would probably need a cash injection and upgrade, or replacing

Coincidence you mentioned Dymchurch, used to go there on summer hols when I was a nipper, and on the railway of course, loved the mysterious, to me, Martello Towers, plus daydreams involving Dr Syn, having read all the books https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_Syn . So far back, the hit tune was Sixteen Tons. Just looked that up, 1955 😮

I'm still looking for next year's tomatoes, basing on taste. Not helped by Dusty posting Premier seeds link so now have gourds and fings in the basket, plus just remembered cosmos, the slugs had mine this year, so hope 2027 is better, or is that a sign of madness? Keep doing the same thing and expecting a different result.

They used to be called Abutilon, but this one was labelled Calianthe…..so I think that's the new name for them.🙄 This one is called 'Red Tiger.'

I like that, never tried to grow them, I was always under the impression they were a bit too tropical for me

In a brief sunny spell yesterday I spotted this form my front window, so hopped out sharpish and grabbed the pic before it's all over for the year. It's an ornamental cherry in council verge, normally full of Spring blossom so earns it's keep
