Awful weather - typical Brits talk

Yay, 2p is home! Rest up, take the drugs, be careful on the blood thinners, I popped a blood vessel twisting and my leg was spectacular colours of bruising for 2 weeks. Glad you're 🏠

Thank goodness, it's a calmer day here with sunshine and showers. After the past two days of bluster and battering wind it's a relief.😊 Also, this afternoon, walking friend and I will be scoping-out the garden our club will be visiting shortly. We'll get a better impression of what's on offer if there's not a howling gale going on! 😉
Late yesterday afternoon things did quieten down, and it was dry, so I took the hedge trimmer down to the wildlife woodland and cut the hornbeam hedge there. The amount of new growth since the rain was almost unbelievable, though it was thin and easy to whizz through. Doing it now should result in a thicker barrier. We don't need it to be neat.
Here's the Morries' pelargonium I tried to post a few days ago. (Picture now removed)
Hmm…I still had a problem posting this picture, until I switched to my VPN.😮 OK, so be it! 🤡

Like Dusty, the weather has calmed down today, but due to go back to wind & rain tonight, so I'll have to get my gardening skates on today. It was awful yesterday, everything is battered and blown
Dusty, Hmm…I still had a problem posting this picture, until I switched to my VPN.😮 OK, so be it! 🤡
Still broken, there is the picture tag JPG, but nuffin to see. Clicking tag gets "access denied"
New growth after the rain is my main concern, I don't want more jungle to tame, and I bet a million snails have bloomed.
Jobs that MUST be done today, tie in dahlias before they snap, ditto tree lilies. Canes are there, just need me plus string. And inspect the cherry down the garden, any ripening?
Lady courgette seems to have been "serviced" during a weather break yesterday. I went out with intention of a forced marriage with the sole man courgette, only to find the lady courgette figuratively laying back having a ciggy 😁 The petals had closed up & gone wrinkled. Guess some brave bee had nipped in between showers. Have to wait and see if success or not.
Next on my maternity list is tomato. My first flower has opened, surprisingly it's outside, on Bajaja. I was expecting conservatory to be first
Here they are
Outside Bajaja
In conservatory
1 = Paul Robeson, beefsteak heritage. 2 = Bajaja, cherry basket type

Oh dear! 😣 But wait, I can see it, even after a refresh. So, “Wha's g'win on?” as we say in these parts. 🤔
No time now. I'm due elsewhere soon, but I knew that was too simple….😔

I've uninstalled Firefox, and reinstalled it….😵
This picture should show part of the garden we visited yesterday, when there was a brief window of almost pleasant weather….
Whopee! That appears to have worked…. 😀 I'm sure one of you will soon let me know if it hasn't!
Meanwhile, I can confim your cherry is 100% visible here, Farway. 🤣

Wet & windy day ahead, luckily I managed all that I needed to do yesterday. The recent rains have been mixed blessing, recent sowing of Cosmos, California poppy, alyssum have all germinated and should be colourful in a few months
Even more surprising, the lobelia sown only a few days ago, in my Far Right handrail baskets, have germinated, at least I have the Blue part of Red, White & Blue
Runners are GO, nearly at top of canes, so tops pinched out. And a bonus, you may recall I left a packet of climbing green beans out overnight in the rain? I just chucked them in a pot and hoped, two have germinated so I can save seeds at least
My cherries seem to be very large & super fat this year, must be the rain at right time. Normally the rain arrives, cherries swell & then split skins and rot arrives. So far so good, I've put wire mesh over the few I have, and hope to be fully ripe next week
Boysenberry continues to expand, so tied in. The berries seem to be getting long, like Loganberries
Had some raspberries ripen, supposed to be Autumn ones, got that wrong!

That's was a relief, being no longer text only. 😃
Unfortunately, the upgrade was short-lived. Now I'm back where I was, even after disabling extensions. 😪
Never mind, I'll maybe install a different browser, just for MSE. Not the Edgy one, though.
The weather seems to have rolled-back toThursday enhanced, with rain, wind to 44mph here, and only a brief chance of sunshine at the close.😫 I'm glad we took the chance of some garden visiting yesterday, when things were relatively quiet, and it only rained a little. 😉
Good you are getting rasps. We have strawbs, now protected rather late by blue sweeties. Not sure of the supposed variety, but many are huge mutations, especially the escapees from the raised bed.

That's a shame, have you tried with your Virus catcher off? The Windows one is supposed to be all that is needed and I have heard another can muddle things up. Just a thought.
I have Brave browser, high privacy & built in [not free] VPN. Or, Duck Duck have a new one,I've only just installed it myself. Has a Opt out of AI option, allows import of bookmarks form Firefox as well. My next post will be suing it, I hope

Back again on Duck browser, imported all bookmarks and passwords. And it has an ad blocker for YT
Uploading pic to keep OT & tryout
Because it's the D-Day anniversary, it's poppies at Fort Nelson, 2018
