It looks like a cool but fairly benign week ahead for us 2p. Just a wettish blip on Tuesday, but probably no frost for you.
We're taking more tender plants into the polytunnel today, and I've a few tedious admin things to do, so this is just a quick post with a recent soggy view of Rosemoor's lake.
Maybe I'll have time later to report on the hedgehog and moggy situation. Haven't retrieved the card from the trail camera yet

Bright, sunny but a cold wind is blowing, looks lovely from this side of the window.Especially as the Swamp Cypress I can see from window is hit by the morning sun, same as last year, still brown but goes reddish lateBit of gardening completed this morning, the tomato seed smears labelled & placed in an envelope & put in "Safe Place" for next yearIn the meantime it's domestic stuff, but if wind drops I may actually wrap up & mooch in garden a bitWhen an eel bites your bum, that's a Moray7

Back from the first of several morning missions, none of them interesting.
But....Mrs Dusty's contraption, comprising a ridge tile, a stone, and some bricks, defeated the cat. The hedgehogs didn't have to share their meals last night!
One inside and one entering.

Amazon in the end as it was quickest. He has a ChuckIt brand ball thrower, so I got ones that match that. It whistles as it flies - we can both see where it has gone, so no endless standing around while he hunts over the entire garden, and then I see a little glowing blob running back towards me!

You could probably pickle them whole (like walnuts); or brine like olives, if so inclined...5 -
Just what I need Less, another thing to do 😉
If it was just a few I might pick them off but so many! And winter too. It's going to be a lean summer I'm guessing.
Greenbee, the black dogs wore lighted collars and the owners head torches. Maybe a tad too far?
I used led reflective arm bands on my little dog before all this came out. And one in me so she could find me. Worked a treat. 🙂I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

2 p I’m the same as you with peppers grown but not enough to warrant the time and effort. Also use only small bits of peppers myself.
Farway I had a very productive chilli which I overwintered in the house, bunged on a north facing windowsill and ignored till the weather warmed up.
Not much in garden stuff done as still sorting dd house when not at work. Though I managed to plant some anemone “sylvadide” not spelt right! And narcissi bulbs. And chop the top off one of my Acers.
The storm brought down a couple of trees in town. And there was frost on Monday morning, a cold day altogether.Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.6
