Tried a cinnamon spray on my magnolia bugs but they seemed to like it.
Just noticed the tomato plants that were fine yesterday are drooping this morning.
Bit like me, just looked in the mirror and I look exhausted and 10yrs older!I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Morning all, just speed reading, and saw YBE hydrangea, mine go like that when they need water, which the front one was when I got home from the wedding, watered it perks back up. I would try both Farways tap out of pot see if it is really wet or dry ,then if needed 2p s recommended bucket of water and pop in let it soak, it may benefit from larger pot so doesn’t dry out too quick, mine are in pots and large ones and I’m watering daily at the moment.
Dusty I agree the butterflies are in force this year I’ve tons flitting round the garden , usually the white ones are in pairs whereas the coloured are singles ? Is that a thing ?The wedding was fabulous, Dd planned all herself and you could see it in all the detail even down to the urban photos. It was very hot but still managed lots of dancing and water drinking which then had me up and down during the night.
Back in own bed last night but it was so hot without the hotel air conditioning on, then because the windows were open , someone had yappy dogs on the field that woke me up early, over an hour before they left.Definitely do not buy a house next to folk with yappy dogs . They bark at everything.
Farway that’s a sensational moon pic , my dd got a pic but that’s much better.
spent yesterday and today sat in the shade in the garden , today is lot breezier but so wonderful as that sun is hot hot 🥵 hot.
So glad for my established trees for shade now, as I move the seat around the garden. XxFocus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.6 -
Still very warm here, YBE, mid 20s I think. I'll have to have a nosy at that house, I didn't realise you were looking up and down the country. I wondered where it might be, but then saw Farway mention Skye. I bet it's tourist h£ll there at the moment - it's bad enough here.
Lovely photos, Dusty. The Buck moon looks quite low in the sky, so that's maybe why we couldn't see it the other night as we had trees surrounding us. Mrs D's flower arrangement is lovely, I hope your guests were suitably impressed.
twopenny, it's roasting in our house at the moment, we just can't winWould/could you wear ear plugs overnight to block out the noise of the neighbour's son?? I couldn't do that myself as I can't stand things in my lugs, but thought I'd mention it.
My youngest DD must be a pleb as well, Farway, as she drinks rum & coke
Glad the wedding went well, wort, congratulations to your DD
DH and I went shopping first thing this morning and we're glad we did. There's been a bad accident on the A85 and the road is closed both ways - sounds like it could be a fatalityI hate this time of year because of the amount of accidents that happen

Mostly cabbage whites, I like the way they sort of dance about, looking for the ideal choice specimen to feed the caterpillars on.pink_poppy said:My youngest DD must be a pleb as well, Farway, as she drinks rum & coke

Ah ha ! Got it. Why I don't know what people are talking about in Dusty's posts.
Seems we post at the same time, must be synchronisation west country time, and I think I've read everything but I haven't.
Lovely sunset Poppy. You can't go wrong with a Scottish landscape, all so beautiful.
Earplugs won't stay in for me but he's slamming car doors during the day if I try to catch up with a nap and it makes the pictures rattle on the walls.. He really doesn't think of anyone else except himself. And I've got to stop making names for him or I'll be forgetting and using them in conversation 🤭
I've been down by a river under trees and there were cabbage whites there so they must lay on something that isn't garden greens.
Turns out a cottage I really wanted when I was mid life is for sale. No one's lived there for decades and needs doing from scratch so that's a no then 🙂
Still hot everywhere but there's some stripes of clouds showing.
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

I hope having words about headnob slamming car doors pays off 2p. Never worry about saying something twice, I'd sooner read it twice than not at all. If I even remember it's already been said
I gave the hydrangea a bluddy good drink (poured a full watering can right into the middle of it, then sat it in a big dish) and it's no better this morning. Ersehole. The white one's fine and dandy from the same treatment
Fingers crossed cinnamon works Farway, be a cheap and easy solution if it did eh
Nice to hear the wedding went well wort, congratulations to the new Mr+MrsBooo to the yappy dogs though, why can't these people see what misery they cause?
I'm looking up and down the whole place at houses pp but not seriously. If we move we'll not move far, sadly. I want to go home but that's not possible really. Aberdeenshire is a bit more of a possibility cos himself has worked up there on and off, and says it's absolutely gorgeous. It's a long road from absolutely gorgeous to putting in an offer though. I'm trying to get him to retire but he's not having it. Jeez that's some sunsetI'd be hard pushed to leave your views if I had them. Can you do anything about insulation to your house? How's your job hunting going? Anything on the horizon..?
Speaking of drinks - you're all welcome to try what I used to drink (which looks grim but is delish) Tia Maria and fresh orange juice. Twice the amount of juice to booze. It tastes like chocolate orange but you don't get sick of it
OT too humid but otherwise alright out there. Currently 17’ with a high of 24’ to come. Sunny and cloudy and a bit of a breeze. I’ll have to take out me jumpers and trousers for tomorrow though! Wind, rain, and a high of 15’ but not ‘til bedtime. That’ll be a shock. Possibly.I oppose genocide. I support freedom of speech. I support freedom of assembly.8 -

Is that a thing ?Definitely do not buy a house next to folk with yappy dogs . They bark at everything. We don't get the Whites in pairs so much as the Meadow browns, which are probably the most common. At present, Whites are greatly outnumbered by all the others.I believe dogs generally reflect the nature of their owners, even if the breed has strong characteristics. A person who chooses a yappy dog breed probably hasn't made that selection thoughtfully. They then don't possess the strength of character to train the dog out of excessive barking. Dogs are pack animals and need a leader. A weak, undemanding human, makes them feel insecure. Bluey will put it better than me.I'm glad your DD's wedding went so well after all the careful planning. On the big day, the weather can almost make or break the success of the event. Too hot is way better than too wet, or cold!Lovely photos, pp. Your 3 lemon tops one is simple, yet few people would have thought to take it or get the arrangement just right.Rum & coke must've passed me by, Farway. I remember buying it for others, but never tried it as a yoof.
Mrs Dusty wasn't very demanding in that respect, and still drinks water wherever we go.

Seems we post at the same time, must be synchronisation west country time, and I think I've read everything but I haven't.OT: It seems 2p and I have a change of wind direction this morning, and with it, slightly cooler conditions.According to the cider sniffers, we get some rain tomorrow and Wednesday, but nothing extreme. That'll be god now the hay bales are all safely gathered in, here and next door.
I wasn't paying much attention during GQT on Friday's radio, but I'm almost certain I heard one male panellist asking people to plant geraniums other than 'Rozanne.' Apparently it's becoming too popular.Well, it's popular with the insects here, that's for sure!

Another restless night & up early to Morries + prescription collectionDull, a bit of a breeze but humid as wellNuffink in Morries, usual half dead stuff & ones needing dead heading.I got told off for being in the Inner Sanctum while watering taking place, I opted for daft old duffer response of Sorry Luv, instead of tumbling A over T and claiming Compo.YoungBlueEyes said:I gave the hydrangea a bluddy good drink (poured a full watering can right into the middle of it, then sat it in a big dish) and it's no better this morning.
