Awful weather - typical Brits talk

And here, again, but it burned-off fast, and now we're in a grey period, due to end around lunchtime.
No significant rain forecast for the next week, either, so what happened to the collapsed polar whatsit? More BS. Said so!
Having a few internet wobblies today, so I'll applaud you for getting up early enough to catch the moon..... and move swiftly on to admit succumbing to T&M's bargain-basement seed offers....again.More Sungold tom seed, more salad leaves and lettuce, and a few 'nice to try' extras. That's definitely it now!
Wobbles continue, so I'll return later. Meanwhile, here's some heavy-duty seed propagation, spotted on Monday! It's a warmed bench. Used to have one myself, back in the days of 2p a unit leccy! Not buying into it.9 -
Posting without catching up.I hope you westerners are outta your beds and taking pics of the eclipsing blood moon that’s showing lovely under your cloudless skies. We’ve cloud here on this sideDon't throw sodium chloride at people. That's a salt.8

Can't post pics at the moment, and they may be no good anyway. It's blood moon cold out there... and I was only in my PJs!

OK, here is the best shot I got....As the dawn came up, it was getting thinner. Then, after coming inside to warm up for a few minutes, it was gone.
It might have been obscured by the clouds, which are now covering much of the lower sky in the west.
Looking the other way, it was a red dawn, too. Will those do you?I'm off to attend to me frostbite....

I didn't get a pic at all, the bloody thing sunk behind the church. Grrr. I got one yesterday morning that my phone's made a bit of a queer colour but it was a kinda soft peachy orange in reality.
This was this morning's dawn. Not a bad show I spose and i like the odd cloud up the middle -
Has Tusky moved it's office to Devon or discovered the Eau de Vie or something? This is what it reckoned this morning and I can tell ya it's wrong the whole way round. The temp wasn't anything like that and won't be all day probably and it's cold northerly wind :brrr:Domestic nonsense today so I need to shift meself, then I can come back on here later and have a proper goDon't throw sodium chloride at people. Fab photos of the eclipse, Dusty, especially the first one
I was hoping someone on here had captured it. I was up and taking loads of photos, all of them rubbish
I like your red dawn pic - it was quite pink/orange here and looked a bit like a tequila sunrise. There's a lot of snow on the hills this morning with a nice pink tinge to them still.
Another frosty start, but it's looking like it's going to be a lovely day (as Bill Withers once sang)...
I like your dawn pic too, YBE, that cloud looks like a spaceship. Talking of which, I saw the ISS going over AGAIN last night when I was stargazing/aurora hunting.'A watched potato will never chit'...9 -
Darn, hadn't been paying attention obviously, explains why all I could see yesterday evening was a bright shiny normal-coloured moon...9

Couple of moon pics… First one was from last night and the second one was taken just before 6am this morning. I think the second one looks more like a wee acorn that’s had its Ready Brek 😂

Forgot this one… another aeroplane that I thought was going to go in front of the moon… and didn’t… 🙄😂

It's not a rubbish picture at all.
One day you'll get that plane silhouetted against the moon too.
Our internet/computer is behaving normally now, so a quick catch-up. Following Monday's garden visit and walk, my right knee began playing-up, but fortunately Mrs Dusty's been more mobile than usual, so she's compensated for my lack of 'get up and go.' We've removed half a dozen rusty hurdles from a hedge at the far end of the land, finished reducing the laurels to a sensible size, and felled a couple of substantial hazels that were blocking far too much light from the stream. With luck, that's the annual maintenance done, though there are still a few bonfires needed to clear the non-compostible material. We have the van stuffed to the gunwales with laurel, so it's a trip to the dump recycling facility today. Not buying into it.9
