Gorgeous photos, lunatic, looks like a beautiful day too. The sun has come out here, but I still can't see the mountains in the distance.
Farway, we have a Renault and buy the batteries from Tesco to change ourselves. It is a keyless card thing we have though, so not sure if you can do the same.'A watched potato will never chit'...5 -
Loved your birds Dusty, they did look really grumpy at being photogrpahed
and the bridge.
Lovely pictures lunatic, when the sun is out in Wales the views just get better and better.I'm loving the trig points photos...Is that a thing, has anyone photographed them all?Love your hedge trees too ybe..My sister spotted some kites when she was up, there are three that hang around together around here, no idea if they're a family group or not.Your shadows picture is lovely too 2p. I'm with wort on the lovely sitooterie.Farway, hooray for shooting peas...but the 5th of March does not look inviting...PP, not so hooray for slugs...euch...It's been suy here for most of the weekend and this week..I was actually too hot in my hoodie this morning at the allotment, probabl did a bit too much but here you go...before and after,,,This was it before I finished the weaving of all the bits [ some willow, some cherry tree, some apple tree]finished using up all the bits I had and added some hay on top prior to the rabbit poo this weekend [ freegle] and some compost from last years tomatoes...Possibly did a bit too much today but was on a roll...Tomorrow I'm seed sowing...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi7 -
I'm here - just.Busy day. Not as sunny and not the lovely scenery that Luna has. That is beautiful! I can't walk places like that at the moment. Hopefully with the warmer weather.Sat in the garden with a book at lunch time. Sometimes you forget that's what your hard work is for.So Taff, you've worked exceptionally hard and it's looking good. Where's your seat????Wow an Eagle! It's a different world up there.I saw a WW2 plane go over the other day but by the time I'd stopped the car and go the camera, too late.Morries gardening here is still closed up. Some plants inside but poor choice and mostly suffering so I forget to look when I go.Cloudy and cooler but bright still.
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Morries gc is still moth-balled here too. Well there's a plastic shelter jobber but it'll want a good scrub by an angry woman before they open the doors... it looks like it's been sat empty for a couple of years.
Really good photos againI like the ducks + daffs and the sitooterie shadows and that misty dawn, and Barra beach
Woohoo for your sprouting seeds Farway! I'll have to look up about trig points cos I've never heard of them. That'll be a job for this aft when domestic nonsense is behind me.
It's been beautiful weather here the last wee while. Cool and a bit breezy sometimes but the sun was out so it was lovelyAnd now that I've a washing pile a mile high we're due rain on and off all day, they say. Swines. Speaking of weather - there's a news thing that scrolls along the bottom of my screen at work, and yesterday it gave advanced warning of a ...collapsing polar vortex... or something, and the UK is to be hit by a fatal Arctic blast and we're all to be knee-deep in ice and snow. It will begin at 0600 on the 16th of March it very confidently stated, so that's plenty of notice to get your woolly undies washed and ready. They say. I can't remember now what those weather people are called - it's something like NetMetWeather.
A few pics - there was a lovely soft dawn at the beginning of the week, all pastel-y and gentle and the best one I've seen for a while -But then on Wednesday St Medard (patron saint of weather says D'Duck) decided to properly go for it and we got this -
Anyway, I need to shift meself. I'll be thinking of car names while I'm hoovering and dusting, all suggestions gratefully receivedI removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.9 -
Farway said:I had a Morries patrol to do first thing, avoiding any crowds & with loads of car spaces.Ah, I have a similar mission, but it's for chicken food and shavings for their bedding. I won't be early, but at least I've avoided market day. The farmers' superstore will have plants, but at daft prices, and they'll be exactly the same boring things they've sold for years.Glad everyone still seems to be in civvies anyway, though I imagine Luna, in full camo gear, yomping over the tussocks and sphagnum bogs to get those amazing photos at trig points I can now only visit in dreams.
I once climbed Lord Hereford's Knob
(now more usually known as he Twmpa) in the Brecon Beacons and I know it's a whole different world up there at over 2000'. It might look sunny in the pictures, but if air masses are moving, it can feel bleak, even in August.

I'm loving the trig points photos...Is that a thing, has anyone photographed them all? However, thanks to there being 'collectors' of trigs here are some more boring photos of it!
I know there are collectors of Monkey Puzzle trees too:.
https://nsmithdlc.carto.com/viz/9bba035a-641b-48c1-b3ed-5b7a61f551fc/public_mapThey haven't got my neighbours' one. You should have seen me trying to mow under it on Wednesday. That's a tree I'm not going to bother with!
Your keyhole bed is also pretty special too, now it's finished! I'm enjoying your allotment updates.... can't wait to see how that and the hay beds go.I knew which way round your Eagle was pp, so the photo wasn't that bad!No time for more at present, but I also read about the polar vortex collapsing, Bluey. There's a 30% chance urger ball happens, so I'll go with that for now. Here's a hellebore, with bee bum, naturally:

My bumble bees been out and about. The big one that sounds like a jet and in summer has a routein patrol.Hope there was enough foof for it. Never sure with all these engineered varieties these days.Bad luck with the washing Bluey, I've become a wash'a'maniac since we've had some dry weather and there just seems to be more washing. Frantically trying to catch up before the next wet starts.Dusty I was admiring your seed feeder with the cupped bottom. I may have to go and look/splash out on one of those posh jobs. It's dull, light grey but bright enough. Just that after all that sun it makes you lethargic.Nothing much planned for today. Legs gone again for the mo.

Mild but dull this morning, weather on the change for the weekend gardeners I expectNow not sure about planting out my Jap anemones, with Polar Vortex and blizzards. I was thinking of getting them in this weekend, no big rush because they are in pots at the moment.Trig points, YBE, I looked up those around me, but fat chance of me getting to them for a photo
, either on hill tops or up a Church tower. Bridges will have to do for me.
Actually, I do have something unusual in mind, but needs a good day for me to get the photo.Good sky pics again, Oh, and Blood Moon [partial eclipse] on 14 March, and Worm Moon same night.Supposed to be worm named after worm trails in the bright moon, in our case a Slug Moon may be more aptYoungBlueEyes said:Anyway, I need to shift meself. I’ve had FB memories from the 2018 Beast from the East this morning - heavy snow ⛄️ I hope this Arctic blast doesn’t happen 🥶
Waves to the stranger, wot is YBE 👋🏻 lovely photos. I’ll have a think about car names.
That’s a lovely Hellebore, Dusty. I think we’ve lost the two we had in the garden.
twopenny, I’ve hung some washing out this morning - it’s just hanging there doing nothing at the moment because there’s zero breeze. The sun has just come out though and it’s high enough to be in our back garden now, so fingers crossed. Sorry to hear about your leg playing up again.
Mr Blackbird was hovering around when I was outside and two robins were singing away to each other ❤️ Mr B followed me to the back door…

I’m having problems putting photos on and then typing (I’m on my phone), so I’ll just put them on at the end.
I managed to get a photo of one of the bullfinches this morning (not very good).
Then I was pleased to see one of the robins had mastered the suet block - usually they just hoover up what’s been dropped on the ground. Again, not a very good photo because it was taken from inside the house.
I did laugh when I saw it strutting around later, with its tail sticking up - it looked more like a wren than a robin (I didn't get a pic unfortunately)…

Hi, weather has been lovely all week until today,it rained overnight and is now grey.I did get in the garden for 4 /5hours on Tuesday. Not that you can see what’s been done ,I have something that gets tiny purple flowers on later in the year very small but with insidious roots that like to spread and is impossible to get out without breaking the thread like root.🥹 I did finish edging the back lawn. And took up some edging cobbles to get the roots of the geranium out that was growing the wrong side. Lots of posts for me to read . But first to bake a tea loaf .Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.9
