Lovely to see you back W_M. Gorgeous pics and congratulations on making the front page :)
I'll have to investigate apple butter, I've never heard of it. Cinnamon and ginger additions sound lovely. I'm wondering if I could add ginger to my appley porridge now.
YBE's gallivanting could explain her absence today :D

Get well soon Farway. Plain water and dry toast might help.

    Enjoy your outings, twopenny.

It's looking like the Aurora will potentially be visible (weather permitting) all weekend from tonight, including down South in Englandshire. Shame I'm headed into dismal weather this weekend :D

Too many posts to individually catch up on (I was up and out this morning for Friday Doings + late lunch with Lovely Neighbour).

I don't think I'd have got robin in 1000 guesses pp! Conker... onion... a gammy ball after a dog's finished with it.. a close up of a big queer seed...

I've more than enough shield bugs here thank you very much Dusty without looking at other peoples' If that's a recent picture I need to start worrying about my hydrangea - it doesn't look a bit like that *sigh*

What've you got planned for your 3 dry days 2p? Getting some more sea swimming in before schools break up again I bet

How are your churning innards Farway? Never pleasant isn't that. Hopefully short-lived so you can get whizzing round Wisley on your chariot :)

It was nice to see you too wm  Book club indeed, I think I need to join a 'book club' :p We were all out for himself's niece's birthday. It's a dreadful thing to say but I don't know how she turned out so well when you look at her mother :naughty:  I got (what I thought was) a great pic of the sunrise this morning but look at yours! Much better, well deserved front page status

Benbecula. Stunning yes. Military yes (I was a trailing spouse). Dull yes. We were only up there a year before he got posted back to the mainland (Alnwick). We were supposed to get Cyprus before Benbecula, then they promised it again before posting him to Alnwick, but it never materialised. Then one day I looked at him and thought 'yeah I think I'm done actually'. I waited for him to go to work, put my passport and important stuff in my handbag, put my coat on, put my dog on his lead and walked out the front door.

OT It's been a glorious day here today, sunny and calm and mild and lovely. More of the same tomorrow, they say. Good job cos I need to get rootling about my garden.
I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.
