Funnily enough Farway, I'm on his page this morning, playing the two hour one but that one has been opened in a separate window to watch after that..I'm knitting my next cowl because it's hammering down now so nothing doing outside and my ankle is not happy after yesterday so staying off it reluctantly today.
He has said a few things that have stuck with me so far, most notably that sometimes plants need to die, and the one about needing bugs to feed the things that eat the bugs....it's not all about the bees :)
I'm with you on the shouting at people to do things my way too, maybe that's where your GD gets it from? :)
Hope the lurgy ges completely by the weekend ybe so at least you can have a proper couple of days off...I must tell ym sister about that app, she may even install it.
Love the bird just looking at you...They do make it easy to anthropormorphise...I've seen a robin the last couple of weeks singing it's heart out protecting it's territory in the back garden. First time in a long time. And two kites were cicling over a couple of days ago so low I could see the banding on their feathers. I ushered the little girl cat in just in case, she's so small, she'd be easy to spirit away.
Yes, seeing your salad leaves uneaten makes me want a poltunnel too.
2p, definitely a lesson learned and a future note to self when someone asks me for something. I don't want to be known as the person who gives people useless things they don't want...Although we still have some wardrobes to empty so if anyone is after any linens or 80's clothing, I'm your woman! That's a job for the end of January though...
Good luck with your mood boards, and so organised. I see things and think ooo, and then I forget...
But I did like the look of this persicaria so I may see if I can get some, it's the name too...

You Tube fed me this one yesterday, do look, although it's on Huw Edwards channel it shows small garden & enthusiastic and joyful beginner.......
You had me worried there! Huw Edwards has a channel on the Toob?  :o I thought “ Click the link and shield your eyes, lad!”  :#  But it was all right; just a 'confusion' of Huws. Phuw!   :)
I'm told a 'confusion' is usually the collective term for numerous wildebeest. Hmm, I'll stick with the charm of goldfinches, referred to by Bluey. They are charming. I'm very happy observing them, along with the blue chests that are yellow, and other small birds. Don't want any wildebeest, especially confused ones called Huw.
Now, where was I? Oh yes, it's been a long shopping day, so no gardening, as such, but I can dream. Unlike Farway, I've no air conditioning experience to fall back on, nor was I taking pictures of flowers last night, but instead, standing with Mrs Dusty in the fields observing two owls. Sadly, as things are wont to do in dreams, the owls turned out to be something else, and soon we were fleeing from these disguised drones.Staying on the right side of the mods, I'll say they were Putin's, but we all know who'd really sent them!  >:)

Only had a Dunnock this morning but it has such a sweet voice.  Clears up bugs in the garden. Should have a nicer name.
Surely those folk don't have a leg to stand on because exch. Is legally binding. They are liable for payment so could be in trouble.
Like your salad crop Dusty, when did you start them off? I've got my pot in a barrel (to stop slugs) ready.
I think Dunnock is a nice, Scottish-sounding name. The house swappers hadn't exchanged, which makes their story all the less clear-cut. Did their agreement amount to a verbal contract? Maybe they will need to spend £thousands finding out!   ;)
My salading was sown rather too late, probably in October, but I have several places  like that where we can snip bits off. I buy different baby leaf mixtures, and then mix them together!  :D The only 'failure' has been a plant that looked quite like dandelion, which I allowed to grow away vigorously, until I found it also tasted the same as dandelion. :|  When things warm-up, I'm eager to start some Purslane, which I read is richer in Omega3 than salmon. A sort of succulent, if it grows too large, it can go in a stir-fry instead of salad. I suppose that's true of many oriental greens too.
OT: Down in Barney Rubble we hit 8c today. Back at home the 'ice' warning light illuminated as I backed in, but no more real frost in the next week, allegedly.  B)

EDIT: I've seen Huw Richards' video now, and loved the variety of that wee garden. Thanks, Farway. I wonder what the lady will do next? An allotment, perhaps?

If you are listening to the birds and IDing them again, your lurgy is lessening Bluey. Hurrah!  :)  The new bed is for the toms this year. Next year, they'll go back to bed 1 on a 3-year rotation cycle. Bed 1 soil has sunk, as the wood in the bottom has decomposed, so it'll be ready for a refill in 2027.
